About Me

Am Grace Zawadi Ngumbao, am 23 years old, am a resident of mtwapa. Born and raised in in a family of nine,in, mtwapa. i started schooling in 1994 in mtwapa academy to 2004 when i sat for my K.C.P.E examination, then i went to St. john's girls high school from 2005 to 2008 when i sat for my o level examination. After my high school as i was at home waiting to join the university i started a small business which really did wonders! This was a cereal shop. this business did well and i managed to add a boutique adjoined to the cereal shop.with this business am able to help my parents in various family needs. I can say that this is a good business because in a good month i make a minimum income of ksh 30,000 per month. this is in both the boutique and the cereal shop My main aim in this business is to raise enough money to enable me to join the university And expand the business further. From the in come i get from this business buy food, and also pay rent This the main reason why i decided to join zidisha so that i can get the opportunity to expand the business .

My Business

I do two businesses at the same place. this is a cereal shop and a boutique. I started with the cereal shop, it was a small business, started with the small savings i used to save out of my school, pocket money. I started to save my pocket money with the aim having my own bank account. when i finished school i had a saving of ksh 15,000. With this i was able to do the business. A friend of mine introduced me to the supplier and that was the start of the business. After one year the business had grown and that;s when i started the boutique. the combined business has been doing well and am sure to do even more.I can say that thus is a good business because in a month i get a minimum income of ksh 30,000 after all the expenses. With this money i use ksh3,000 to pay rent at the business, ksh 5,000 is used for my family food And i use ksh 10,000 to add new stock to the business. so in a month i save ksh12,000 which i save to my account Risks in this business are like, some times we have shortage of commodities like sugar, which becomes a problem to us and to the customers.

Loan Proposal

Hello,am so happy to have reached this far as my loan is concerned, My great gratitude to the entire zidisha staff. With this loan i will improve my business by adding stock and renovate my store. So i will use ksh 15,000 to buy cereals and ksh 10,000 to buy clothes and i will use ksh 5,000 to renovate my store. This will add more value to the business hence expect more returns
