About Me

I am a young man aged 22 years and the second last born in a family of six, where four are brothers and one sister. I have studied up to the level of a college diploma in Social Work and Community Development.I come from a rural area where agriculture is the main source of income for the locals, but as time goes by and families grow, land has been subdivided and thus the economic activity doesn't fetch much.
My passion has been working online and particularly freelancing as an alternative to agriculture. I have been writing articles online on a piecework basis since I do not own an account and also due to the fact that am still learning the art from my mentors.

My Business

Having already secured a first loan from Zidisha, I utilized it and acquired a second hand personal computer to aid me in my online jobs venture. Things worked out quite well and I was able to service my loan to the last coin. I have successfully explored other areas in online work apart from article writing, that is transcription and a bit of marketing. I have also been able to at times hire the services of a person to assist while the work load grows and that meant I wasn't the only one benefiting.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy a second hand personal computer (desktop). This will go a long way in helping me have optimum hours doing online jobs as well as venturing into other more profitable online jobs such as affiliate marketing besides the current article writing am doing. I have not been able to venture fully into the online jobs since am forced to seek computer services in cyber cafes which is way too expensive for me and thus limits me. I also will be able to bid for more jobs since I can comfortably extend my working hours into the night, something which is not possible currently with cyber cafes. Finally I look forward to owning a writing account and quit having to be contracted by others as is the case currently, since it pays way less. Someday I may also employ someone to assist on piecework as my work base grows.

Dear lenders, I finally managed to reach Samuel on phone yesterday. He explained to me that he has been having difficulties accessing his payments for his online jobs hence the delay. He however promised to resume his loan repayments next week. I will monitor his progress and keep you posted accordingly.

    Thank you for your patience.

    VM.

Hi David, thank you for the update regarding Samuel. I see the time has come and passed and no repayment has been made. Sorry to hear he has payment problems for his jobs. Do you have any update on his progress so far? Perhaps he would be better off making smaller and regular payments?

Dear lenders, I have been trying to reach Samuel on phone but his phone is always switched off. I spoke to his community leader today who promised to do a follow-up on the matter.

I will call her after a few days to check on her progress.

It's unfortunate that it's in the low season and the online jobs are a bit lower, in my case the accounts that I do depend heavily on are transcription ones, whereby work is limited and only available a few days a week. However, as this is not the first time it's happening, I'm optimistic that normalcy will be restored.

Dear lenders, I am delighted to let all know of how I have benefited from the loan that I have just completed repaying. As an online worker, I always wanted to own a personal computer and thanks to Zidisha and the lenders I was able to see it happen. Working from cyber cafes was always hectic since the costs were quite high as well as inconveniencing. Since purchasing the personal comp with help from zidisha lenders, I have enjoyed better profits as well as convenience in that I can work from my residence at any time including the night. I have also been of help to aspiring online workers who have often enquired what online working is all about, all thanks to the P.C I purchased with Zidisha's assistance. Unemployment in Kenya, being a developing country is real, but with online jobs which include transcription and writing, I have been able to rise above the menace into self reliance. I don't have enough words to thank the lenders who risk their hard earned money to assist people in the third world venture into business, without forgetting the affordably low interest rates.
Going forward, I have been saving some little money monthly, with which I anticipate to venture wider in online work by purchasing more P.Cs, and above all create employment for more. I look forward to it and I believe lenders will chip in to assist, and in turn I'll faithfully repay.
    Thanks.

Fluctuations in my online work, such that currently there's hardly any work available, but I'm told after sometime the high season will be back and jobs available. The accounts I'm working for are known to have high and low seasons and thus it's not something new. I believe that I can afford the rescheduled amount even if normalcy hasn't restored.

Hello dear lender, my last loan repayment installment is due on the 13th Dec and I can confirm that I've payed in full as at 12th Dec. I appreciate the good gesture of all that lent me and I promise not to let any lender down in any of my future loans. Thanks a lot!

True, as it stands I've paid in full today and nothing is overdue. I've also sent a mail to Zidisha service with the confirmation codes to follow up on the payment that's not appearing and hopefully it will be found.
