I am Joel Okoth Ouma born in Mihuru in Homabay county.I am was not lucky enough to have education beyond primary level because my father who was a fisherman in Lake victoria abandon us with our and since my mother was also jobless she only afforded to provide food for us and primary education and i thank her.
After primary education a good samaritan with engineering workshop took me to Molo with him and started training me welding, milling, turning and fitting for three years. After that i got a cacual job riftvalley engineering works from which i save little by little till i bought arc welding machine. Then at the field i started my workshop to do my own job.
I have a small engineering workshop today where i make steel doors and windows, matal boxes, school tables and chairs and chimney instalation.
These products especially windows and doors are on high demand because Kenya is a growing country and people build new houses daily.
I choose this business because due to my skills and experience it will be managable and also wanted to get me employ and earn more.
This business when there is a lot of work could cost me around $500 per month and from that i can get a profit of $200 a month.
My profit i support myself and my mother and remaininf i reinvest back in the business.
Thank you so much zidisha for accepting my membership application giving me equal opportunity to build my business with this loan. This loan am going to use to renovate my welding machine as follows.
-$60 i am going to buy copper wire for winding,$10 to buy insulating cotton cloth,$15 to buy cooling oil and $25 pay for labuor work. After these service machine will work efficienly which will enable me to do more job and earn more profit.God bless
