My name is Sylvia Nyambura Ng’ang’a. I am a married woman and a mother of three children. I am currently a primary school teacher at glorious life academy in Kingili. My first born who is a daughter is in form three. The next two sons are in class three and one respectively and they study at glorious life academy. I completed my form four studies in 1993 and later joined an early childhood development (ECD) course at a local college. My husband is an accountant at a local co-operative and oftenly helps me support by children. I am an active member of church and mainly help children with Sunday school.
Besides being a teacher I found it wise to invest in something different. Something that will not only fulfil me but also earn me some income. My neighbouring community is well known for consumption of hens, there are few people who keep hens for commercial purposes this created a perfect business opportunity for me and that are when I started keeping hens. At first I kept the indigenous species, twenty in number but later I found out that it was not profitable. I decided to join the Kisa/ Shibinga project that enabled me keep 100 layers. This has improved my life a great deal. I sell 3 crates @ 300 shillings daily. The money has helped cover house hold needs and for now I would like to increase them and grow my business further
Hi lenders, thanks for allowing me to apply for another loan. This time i wish to move a step further and start an Nursery school since i am an E.C.D (Early Childhood Development) teacher. i have been offered classrooms and a field by Baraka Gospel Church in Khwisero District in Kakamega County. i will just need to varnish the classrooms. i will use the money to buy 10 desks at Kshs 2,000 each, teacher's table and a chair @ kshs 3,000, stationery @ kshs 5,000, 10 o'clock tea and lunch @ kshs10,000. with this i hope that my plan will be a success. thanks a lot.
