Still being at Nakuru I have worked at various places and company at Nakuru (e.g) at Elite bakery where I worked from year 1979-1980 and after working for many years I decided to migrate to Kiambogo in yeay 1990 and bought a piece of land in year 1991 at Kiambogo near Wanyanguthi who is very famous in our area, from that time I have been living at that place till now where by I have been carrying my activities of mixed farming together with my entire family I also learn a business o f selling of clothes for both mens, lady and children in our nearby town center at Kongasis which is near Kiambogo town on your way to Nakuru town, the town is developing at a high late because it is at a central position in that area covering all tribes ,I am also an active member of Elemetaita Dairy Farmers Self Help Group were we have been supporting each other i am a follower of Catholic church since that time and I am a devoted Christian and participate actively in our nearby by church at Kiambogo.

My Business

MY BUSINESS INCLUDE BUYING AND SELLING NEW CLOTHS
My business is located at kong’asis which is thirty two kilometer (32km) from Nakuru-Elementaita road toward Kiambogo center, my business include buying and selling of all types of cloths i.e men, women and lady cloths. I started my business last year on December. My business grows up to a level of employing another person to help me, my business name is Lydia Dressing which I named after my first born daughter who also work there as my trustee, but am the manager of the business because the business I the one who own it (soleproprietership). The business Is located at a strategic position thus making me to attract more customers also there is less competition for business offering the same commodities thus making the business profitable, also the house I have rented I pay a rent of 2000 per month which Is cheap compared to other trading center nearby. My business is also insured for any kind of risk which may occur such as fire outbreak. My stock is worthy ksh 60000,but I continue adding the stock gradually i.e twice a month, but during this December holiday I will managed to go up to three times due to high demand of the commodities, but the main challenge facing my business is lack of money as I go the shopping.
My short term goal is to crate employment among young generation especially to my own children, my long term goal is to open another business within our locality especially at Kiambogo where I am well known and there is high demand of the commodities. My business is licensed under the county council of Nakuru municipality to make it legal. My typical monthly cost is khs 60000, sale revenue is around ksh 30000 and profit is above 25000 but I am planning to earning more from the business.
