My name is Stanley Owusu. I am the elderly son of my family and Ghanaian by birth. I am 31 years old. I am a business minded young man who believe in determination and fighting spirit to achieve an important goal in life. My parents are both Ghanaians and hardworking cocoa farmers. They only have little land to farm and this have made living very difficult in my family.
I began my basic school in a small village called Yankye Kromoase in Asunafo South District of Ghana. The village lacks a lot of social amenities which makes it difficult for trained teachers to accept postings to this village. The school was under tree with only three teachers sharing six classes. I was interested in school, so despite all obstructions and financial difficulties, I managed to complete basic education in another village which I had to walk for miles.
For God being so good, after my basic education, I immerged as a circuit best and this gave me the opportunity to obtain district scholarship for my high school education. After I completed my high education, although a passed alright, I was unable to afford my admission fee to tertiary education, so I decided to gather some kids in my village and began teaching them in the evening after returning from farm.
This actually ignited my passion to establish school to enable innocent children who are not previlaged to be educated formally in my village.
Even the Government school in my village was under tree until recently , that a certain NGO came into our aid and built a three classroom block for the school.
After instituting the private school by name ( HOUR OF GRACE), most OF my people developed interest and started enrolling their wards. But living standard in Ghana is nothing to ride home about, let alone that of a rural farming community like my village. This is possing threat to thesmooth running of the school since parents and guardians have difficulties in paying the little fees I charge.
My call to the district education office for assistance only and up in vein since the schools under Government do not get the requisite material for studies.
