About Me

My name is Joshua Odera Juma I reside in Nakuru Kaptembwa estate. I am the seventh born in a family of 12; 8 boys and 4 girls. Growing up was a challenge to our family due to our relatively large family size. I went to Heshima Nursery School, Koinange Primary School and later Nakuru Day Secondary School.
I am a hard working young man with an ambition to better my life and those around me.am also God fearing. I love traveling, trying out new ideas and listening to gospel music.I really enjoy watching wild animals at lake nakuru game reserve in nakuru.
I have a young family consisting of two boys; Dris Kipkemoi Juma , 11 years 9 months and Carlos Willmore Juma, 6 years and 4 months. They are hardworking and lovely kids with an ambition to better their lives. Dris is active in Football and Drama while Carlos enjoys singing and acting.

My Business

I am Operating a Supplies Business Where I buy and supply farm produce from Farmers to Schools & Hotels. I mainly deal in produce such as:- Maize, Cabbages, Sukumawiki, Eggs etc. I do have both long-term contracts and short contracts with these Institutions.
I make an average of between Ksh.28,000.00 to Ksh. 35,000 per month. I normally spent between Ksh. 10,000 to Ksh. 15,000 on expenses which includes; transport, storage, packing, meals and stall licence and rent. The balance I normally save in a sacco to help me secure my family's future.
I pay Ksh. 10,000 per term towards my children's education. My business involves a lot of traveling between farms in different counties of Kenya to get my supplies.
The transportation cost in Kenya is quite high, primarily due to high fuel costs and taxes. This has made it necessary for me to seek for funds to enable me purchase a motor bike,to facilitate the easy and more affordable transport for my business. I normally have to carry out a background check on the goods before I seek for transport mainly through canter lorries. The movements between firms through tuk tuks on hire is quite expensive and sometime someone may not be assured of efficient service.
