About Me

I am 24 yrs old married with one child of school going age. He is in nursery school.I have a university level of education and i live and stay in ongata rongai an outskirt town of Nairobi. i started my business Five years ago after university to make a living after being in out of employment for some time where i was not able to support my family. with my monthly income of about 30000 i am able to educate and feed my family and support my parents. I have a dream to improve myself financially as i know i have not fully attained my financial capabilities.

My Business

I am a motorbike taxi rider where i ferry people from Tuskys bus stage in ongata rongai to and from their homes. there is high demand for such services as the homes are very far from the main road and bus stage and some interior roads are not accessed by cars. i have many customers due to my experience maturity and characters people trust me unlike my competitors who are younger than me. The business is profitable as the cost of running a motorbike are very low and easy to manage as it deals with direct contact with the customers who are your employers. I also operate a stationary shp in near Kware stage.

Loan Proposal

I am planning to use the loan to buy a new bulky printing printer. This has been necessitated by the contract that i got at a local school of printing them exams in bulky.I add the loan with my savings to buy it. It costs Kshs. 22,000. hopefully with your support i will be able to raise the amount and buy it.
this will further my profits as the stationary shop is going on very well.

      Hi Mewesten
I am sorry i am not making a joke on anything.
i am sorry i thought i had rescheduled my loan until i received a remainder mesege recently.
The repayment period caught me in my financial low time as my wife gave birth and i had to take her to the rural area for ritual purposes.
on returning on February when i would have started the repayment i was not in the position financially.

I had set myself to start the repayment on March.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

      Thanks,
      Fred

Thank you, Fred. With rampant fraud at Zidisha it is difficult or impossible to tell the bad from the good.
Glad to hear that you have not forgotten us.
        Best of luck.

I am very sorry for that.
But i had even resumed business, but it is that things are not very good financially here in Kenya. i don't know whether this is true with everybody here in Kenya or may be it because i had closed by business a while when i was at home.

            I understand, about you, Fred.
Unfortunately there are other people who sign up for loans intending not to repay. For them it is easy, but dishonest money. I should not confuse you with that group. marvin

I am sorry for the rescheduling but i was doing a course that turned out to be very demanding that i dint have enough time to collect enough money from the printer i had bought.
I am very sorry in-case of any mis-convenience but i will have finished it by December and start my payments immediately.

Thank-you for letting us know your reasons for rescheduling. As a lender I really appreciate reading notices from the people I have lent to! I hope that in the new year you will be able to get the printer work going.

Hello Mr. Omangi - I hope that you and your family are safe as this horrible terrorist attack unfolds in Nairobi. I am thinking of you and am keeping track of events by radio, hoping that the situation will come to an end soon.

      Hi Mrs Kilmeny,
Thanks a lot for your concern. A very horrible attack indeed.
Unfortunately i lost my college tutor and a mentor to me Mr.John Musya (R.I.P). i pray for God's courage to be with his family all others who lost their innocent kins during this grief and paining moment.

Hopefully the situation has been contained and surely God will punish planners of the attack especially in brutally murdering innocent kids.

        Hi Fred,

We are very saddened to hear about Mr. Musya. I hope for a swift and decisive punishment for those responsible from your criminal justice system. Did any of the attackers survive the incident to be tried for their crimes?

        Regards,

        Mike

    Hello lenders,
As a kenyan youth i would like to thank you alot for what you are doing to change the lives of kenyan people especially of my age. Initially getting credit was hectic for youths because of the collateral needed which people of our age dont have.

    Thanks

    Hello Mr. Omangi,
What is the reason for repaying your loan after only ONE WEEK?

      Hi Mewesten,
Thank you a lot for your concern. I had wanted wanted to buy a large printer that costs Kshs. 22,000. Unfortunately i dint have the funds and Zidisha is the only source i would rely on. I had to pay the loan in order to borrow a slightly bigger loan to enable me to buy it.Hoping i will get the funds that i request.

Thanks and may God bless you.

        Hello Mr. Omangi -
I was confused when I saw that you'd repaid and then reapplied so quickly!

However, I am happy to fund you again - but be aware that some lenders will see quick repayments like this as somewhat suspicious - a few people have worked up to get a bigger loan very quickly and then dissapeared.

I hope that with this new slightly larger loan and with your savings, you will be able to buy the printer you want - otherwise I would encourage you to use the loan to make other investments in your enterprise until such time as you are able to apply for a loan of the size that you need for the printer.

i take this opportunity to thank the whole Zidisha team for what they are doing in changing the lives of many small scale entrepreneurs who would have otherwise stalled in abject poverty.
May the almighty God grant you energy and power to continue doing this.

    Thank you.

Hello Mr. Omangi, I'm glad to help. What is the best selling item in your stationery shop?

        Hi Kilmeny,
Thanks a lot for your help and may God bless you.
The best stationary item are the cards which i design myself which includes birthday cards, wedding cards, appreciation cards, invitation e.t.c where comes a challenge when needed in bulky and i don't have a large printer to do it. This makes me to take them elsewhere therefore incurring extra expenses.

Hello again Mr. Omangi - a few days ago I happened to open my bible, something I do not do very often at all, and it just fell open at 2 Corinthians 8:14, "At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality."
I felt that this was inspiring me to continue with loaning through Zidisha when I can.

It would be very interesting to see one of your cards, if you could take a picture to share here! I have tried to design some cards myself in the past, but have decided that I (and those who get cards from me) are much better off if I leave the designing to others!
