About Me

My names are Isaiah Ngaruiya Ngugi. I am a resident of Thika town, a distance of 40kilometers from the capital of Kenya, Nairobi. I was born in Thika, attended my primary school as well as my secondary school in Thika. I have a family and blessed with two kids. I live in plot number 616 at Thika town. I am a business man at the town and my business is that of selling jewellery. I have been in this business for quite some time and this is my seventh year. It is a good business and quite profitable especially at my shop as it is located in a strategic place.

My Business

This business of selling jewellery is a good one as i target most of the youths. The main items that I sell are earrings, necklaces, chains, bangles, finger rings. The business is located in area where it is open and again it is near the market and thus it can be spotted easily. I get my supplies from the capital, Nairobi at a relatively cheaper price and since I purchase in large scale the profit margin is usually quite good. The main challenges that this business encounter is the high cost of living and especially here in town and also high cost of energy.

Loan Proposal

I am thankful for such a wonderful opportunity to be granted a loan from Zidisha micro-finance.
When granted this loan, I will add my stock of jewellery for my business. This, I will buy in bulk and reduce the cost of traveling now and then to replenish my supply. This was really reducing my profits and thus I would like to cut this costs. Secondly, I would like to supply more variety of these jewellery to increase my customer range.

    Dear Lenders,

Unfortunately, Isaiah has had another death in his family. He has spent the last week making funeral arrangements for his grandmother. He is still very committing to his lenders and plans on making another payment Dec. 25th. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

actually its not changing the amount or the month of payment but it pushing the date by some days up to 30/09/2014 so as to be able to cover it as i promised. baseness wise i have not been doing well since the time i vacated from my first site but through the power of God i have been able to get some few clients who have been shopping from me once per week with a promise of making the payments by the end of the month. i have a feeling that things are going to be ok and i will even change the amount of paying every month to a higher number.

the business has not picked since i vacated from my previous station and i don't want the amount to go up anymore, that's why am requesting to change the figure in to which ile be able to pay every month.
with ksh 600 per month ile be able to adjust myself up to the point which the business will start picking.
also this is due to the political movements which we are having in the country making it difficult for businesses to pick and also the purchasing power to go down.
please i hope u ile understand my situation..this will start on 10/07/2014

ill send all the last tow months loan on 12/05/2014, this will give me atlst a short period of time in getting some stocks since i had used all the money during the burial process. thank you for everything you all have done in my life.

    Dear lenders,
As Isaiah wrote earlier this month, the loss of his grandfather has not only involved a deeply saddening loss for his family, but also an added financial constraint. Isaiah has spent a good portion of April tending to his grandfather's funeral arrangements and taking care of the burial. Depending on the prevailing tradition, funerals in developing countries can be quite extensive and last several days, with other related events taking place over the course of several weeks. As these events wrap up and he and his family return to their normal lives, Isaiah expects to be back on track with his business and loan payments.
Our best wishes go to Isaiah and his family during this difficult time.

this is the least amount of cash am getting each month in my business due to the competition am getting and also the large amount of cash the house business is costing in my new area as i still has to use some of the small cash am getting top up my stock which most of the time takes more than one week before it moves, as am still familiarizing myself with my new clients the times are so so hard due to the economy of the country,
with this amount i will be comfortable to be paying it every month without any strain or delays.

Am still not doing well in the business at the moment but i want to keep on posting the small amount am getting from the business, this is because since i reallocated to my new area i had to change the type of business i was doing so as to cope with the situation as it is, at the moment i can see hope as i have started to get some permanent customers.

I vacated the area i was leaving due to family issues and i had to start the business fresh, this has been a tormenting period in my life and i had to cut short most of my business connections so as to cater for the family, i ll be paying between 300 shillings to 1000 shillings per week so as to make sure that within the stipulated time the payment will be over,
This will start on Monday 23rd of this month.
