About Me

My name is Teresiah Watati. I am a single business lady working very hard to raise my child and educate her to achieve the best in life.

My Business

My business is a wholesale. I buy goods in bulky and sell them at a whole sale price to other shop keepers who retail them. I make small profit but the goods are fast moving because they are sold in bulk. Therefore i can sell so much in a month ending up making quite a substantial profit of about ksh 50,000 The business does even better during festival seasons when people from the towns visit their relatives in this part of the country. The visitors buy so many goods for their relatives and this helps so much in the business. However, during this period, transport is expensive because a lot of people are travelling. It is therefore advisable to have a big stock to last through a long time to reduce the travelling during the festive season.annual income 600000
I also do farming. I plant maize for home consumption but sell the surplus making about ksh 80,000 per season especially when the market is good.

Loan Proposal

i am very grateful for the previous loan you lend me since it helped me take my business to another level.i will use the second loan to increase my stock due to the increased number of customers.i will also buy a motorbike to help me transport goods to my customers.i will also hire three workers to help me in the business which is now very busy.
i would also like to use the cash to enable me harvest in the farm by hiring labourers.

    John -

Way back in Aug 2012 a Zidisha staff member visited this borrower (see the comments below). Zidisha then must have the borrower's phone number/contact details.

I don't have a lot of skin in this loan, but others lent large amounts of money to Ms Tersiah Watati Wamunyu. Such as Anonymous - $500+.

Surprised they aren't looking to get their money back.

There is no information available on this loan to Ms Watati/Wamunyu. It appears the loan will never be repaid.

The previous loan was repaid quickly. The borrower received glowing feedback. A volunteer visited the borrower.

A second larger loan has not been repaid. There have been no comments from the borrower.

The warning sign was possibly the lack of comments from the borrower to the first loan.

    Ms Watati

You have not repaid any of the money loaned to you. I hope all is well with you. Please let your supporters know how the business is going.

    Regards, Clivoss

I would like to buy a Photo printing machine which cost
Ksh.80,000. This will reduce cost of printing photos. To expand
my business, I also want to buy phone accessories which I will
be selling. So I will need about Ksh. 250,000 to do so. I would
also like to buy a cow where I will a employe a worker in my
    zero grazing farm.
