About Me

My name is Laban Mukuna Isaiya and a resident of Nakuru county am married with four children who are in various primary schools here in town. l was not able to complete my primary education due to lack of school fees.l stayed with at home helping my parents with the shamba work as well as looking after our cattle's.due to scarcity of the resources back at home like shamba to farm l started dairy farming as its more economical and the profitable compared to other types of business.l use my to provide for my family like paying school fees for my children

My Business

dairy farming is very profitable here in Nakuru.l have four grade cows that l milk an average of thirty liters of milk every day.l sell the milk to a local dairy co-operative society at ks 30 per liter. This enables me to earn ks 20,000 as net profit and after deducting the expenses such as feeds and wages for my employee.due to scarcity of the milk there is little competition hence making the business good.if advanced with the loan l will buy another milking cow so as to increase the production of milk.

Loan Proposal

I currently do a small milk supply bussiness in the neighborhood. if you grant me this loan I will be able to expand by increasing my stock there fore having a wider market.my current ability is limited but with your support my operation capital will have gone up.this will also help me employ one more person from the community to help me meet the supply demand.thus your support will actually enable me create employment to an unemployed youth.

I am a VM. I phoned Laban today 3.32am. He explained that his dairy was destroyed by fire. However, he has plans to re-start repayment two weeks from now with a $40 installment.

      Mr. Shehi,

I am sorry to hear about Mr. Mukuna's misfortune. This is another case where if he had simply communicated with his lenders, we would have been much more understanding.

I do wish him the best and hope he has the means to restart his dairy.

      Thanks,
      Cris

    Zidisha,

Can someone check up on this loan? Laban Mukuna has not made a single repayment on his loan - he is nearly 4 months in arrears. His VM, Jane Gaiko, is unresponsive. It seems she was sick last year and has not made many repayments on her loan either.

Why does Zidisha allow VM's who are so far behind in their payments and so unresponsive to continue to 'mentor'? Please address this issue also.

    Hi Laban,
As Crissr said earlier, it might be time to reschedule your loan, as you have missed your payments for December and January. The assumption is that you have the ability to repay the loan you took.
I hope that you are well and that your dairy is providing for you.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Dear Laban,

I was wondering how you and your business are doing? It's been a couple of months and you have not yet made any repayments. Is your business not going well? Do you need to extend your repayment period?

Please let us know how things are going. We, the lenders, would sure appreciate some communication from you.

    Thank you,
    Cris
