About Me

I am Clement Kamiru Njora, a young (24 years) and charismatic individual. i just completed a Diploma in aeronautical and aviation Engineering and am currently an intern at Wilson Airport. Having been born and raised at a rural background, I have a passion for farming; I have passion fruits (yellow and purple) and ribena (tomato trees) fruits, both of which have an insatiable market locally and regionally. I am also an entrepreneur, supplying eggs to all the retail and wholesale shops in my area of residence. I also have a great interest in the securities exchange and Futures trading, a field that am just starting out in and which I believe i can handle well because I like following on world news.

My Business

Farming is not only a hobby and passion but also my largest income earner. I farm sweet yellow passion, purple passion fruits and tomato tree (ribena) fruits. The fruits rake in a combined monthly gross profit of 380 USD. The fruits have an insatiable domestic market, fetching fairly high prices per kilogram e.g. during the high season, the purple passion fruits go for 1.2USD, the sweet yellow passions for about 1.5USD and the tomato tree fruits go for 1.8USD. In the high end market, including chain stores and fruit juice making companies, the fruits fetch even higher prices.
I also run an eggs’ supply business in my area of residence in Nairobi; I supply almost all hotels, retail and wholesale shops with eggs. I am supplied with not less than 30 trays of eggs per week, a number I seek to increase to 50 with the growing demand for the eggs. I have rented out a room which I use for storage purposes, where the eggs can be stored in large quantities for ease and efficiency in supplying my customers. I rent the room for 40USD per month. The eggs’ supply business makes 50USD per month, an amount I can comfortably rise with increased supply of eggs.
I also have a keen interest in the international money markets and world markets, which has seen me study the stock exchanges and the forex market. I would like to invest in both the stocks and forex markets in future.

Loan Proposal

Currently, water from a small dam in the farm is pumped to a tank, from where its fetched and the fruits watered through cans and buckets. I wish to pipe the farm in order to reduce the time taken, increase efficiency and reduce costs (currently, I employ 2-3 casuals to water the fruits). I intend to buy five (5) 1/2 inch hosepipes measuring 120 meters each; they are flexible and can easily be arranged in the farm so as not to damage the crops. I also intend to buy two PVC pipes that will feed the hoses from the tank. The PVC pipes will also be 1/2 inch and 20 meters long each. These will cut the costs by half, increase efficiency and improve the soil environment; this will translate to an expected two-fold yield increase thus, higher profits!
I would also like to inject some of the money into the eggs business (about 60USD); this will see the business comfortably supply an extra 20 trays of eggs per week which translates to a 60% profit margin increase! The business will also be able to employ a part-time casual to assist in supplying the eggs.
The profits will be ploughed back into both businesses after full loan payment, to further increase their capacity.

    Hi members, I am really sorry I am badly overdue with my loan repayment and it has taken me years to even communicate. I have been trying to build a career and it has taken a toll on me. However, I am happy to report here that I finally found a job in my line of study and I have also kept up with my passion, farming! I intend to continue repaying my loan from end of this month and also update you on the progress of the farm. I apologize the inconvenience caused and hope that we can continue from where we left it. Thanks a lot!!!

    Hi, Zidisha Team;
    I have been away on a remote outstation as an unpaid intern. I am glad to report that am back to Nairobi and closer to my business, which has been in operation (though struggling a bit) without me. The little amount I got could only cater for my upkeep at the outstation but now that am back, I can save more and thus, be able to pay a larger installment from what am making and my savings. I thank the team for understanding and most importantly, for this capability without which, a lot of loanees in my previous situation would inevitably be defaulters.

    Hallo family???!!!! Am finally back to 'civilization'!!! I have been to a very remote outstation, only coming to nairobi for a very short time (mostly several hours), which I used to visit the farm. I have been running the business over the phone and have known first hand, the challenge in doing that!!!! However, am really happy to be back to the nairobi station (Wilson airport), where I can manage to continue running the farm personally!!! Pictures of the current state of affairs will be coming soon!!!! I want to thank the whole team, you, My Lenders, who have been really patient with me!!!! Thank you very much!! Am back on business and I hope that you still have my back!! :D Special thanks go to my Volunteer Mentor, Mr. Zacharia Kwanya, who has been the most understanding person ever and my voice to you, family, when I couldn't reach you!!! Thankyou!!!

    Hello lenders this is the best borrower have ever met Clement Njora a very soft spoken man who always stick to his words, infact he gives me easy time than any other borrowers, always answering his calls and very corporating. Right now he's out of town but when he gets back he will clear his dues. Wish you a great weekend.
