My Business

. I urge Zidisha to grant me the loan and also lenders to kindly contribute to my loan. Thank You in Advance.

Loan Proposal

I thank Zidisha for giving me the opportunity to post my second loan. I am here by appealing to the Zidisha lenders to support and fund my loan so that I am able to put it into business. For this time I have two businesses in mind. The first one is the one I have been carrying out “rabbit rearing. So far so good though I have had some challenges in running the rabbit rearing. I approached a fellow farmer living in Thika who also do rabbit rearing and had a session with him. I realized that I had not done some requirements necessary for my project. So with my second loan first, I am planning to relocate my rabbit business to Thika where there is conducive environment for rabbit rearing and again employ someone to look at them and feed them. Second I have another business I have had in mind which I am to start implementing in the month of December. I want to run a multipurpose cyber café. This will include internet access, typing, printing, photocopying and binding. I want to run this business in the nearby shopping centre next my university. At the moment I have five computers and a one printing machine. I bought these with my savings. I have also identified the right location for the business. With the loan I will be able to partition the room (main purpose), buy connection cables for the internet, obtain a certificate from the county council(legalize the business) and buy one more printing machine in case the first one breaks down in time of business. I am sure this will work out since I have a break from school now. Before the school re-opens I will have settled the two businesses and assigned a friend to look after them. I am appealing to Zidisha lenders to contribute to my loan. Thank you in advance.

I understand you are the volunteer mentor for Fredrick Ondicho Kirera. He is several months behind on his payments. In fact, he has only made one tiny payment this year. I'd appreciate it if you could check in with him and find out what the issue is. Thanks.

    Hello, Mr. Gitonga
Do you know anything about Geoffrey Omangi, who is so much in arrears? I know you have been asked before, and I am sorry to disturb you again, but if you can help, I would be grateful.

      Hallo,
I am sorry for the late reply but the member listed above is new to me. I was assigned Freddrick Ondicho to my profile without my knowledge. Its not just Fredrick, i have many more and i raised the issue to Zidisha management. However, i will try to contact him on that matter. I am sorry for the inconvinince.

I'd appreciate any efforts you can make on his lenders' behalf.

It makes no sense to me that Zidisha would assign lenders to mentors. It should be the mentor volunteering to be an additional contact for a borrower. Preferably someone they know well.

Fredrick Ondicho Kirera has made one payment. It was about 1/2 a months payment when he is a number of months behind. Please mention to him that he needs to bring his loan completely up to date & keep it that way. Thanks.

    Mr. Gitonga,

I'm sorry to disturb you, but Geoffery Omangi seems to be one of your mentees. I wrote to him on Jan. 30 and have still not received a response. He has not made a single repayment and his full loan will come due on Feb, 15, just 5 days from now.

Would you be able to contact him and find out what is going on?

    Thank you,
    Cris

      HI Cris,

Sorry for the late reply. About Geoffery Omangi, i do not know him personally. My profile shows that i am his volunteer mentor but i regret that was without my knowledge. I contacted Zidisha management on the issue. However, i will make a step of contacting him and inquire on the matter.

    Hi Zidisha.
I wish to reschedule my loan payment to next month. My business is going on well but i have not started leaping off the profit. i have been on holiday and i did not concentrate much on the businesses that i implemented using the second loan. Within this month i will work hard and all will be alright. Please consider my request. I will resume next month. Thank you

    Hi Zidisha Family,
Once more i hope you are all well. I am happy that i have been able to repay my loan on time. The loan has really played a big part in the business that i had initiated. My rabbit business somehow encountered some challenges because of a disease though that has not made me go at loss, all has been stagnant. This made me reschedule my loan repayment calender. I had some savings in my bank account though in a fixed account and when the period was over i opted to withdraw and repay my loan. Again i thank you lenders for the kindness and patience. Carry on with the good work.

I request to reschedule my loan at this moment though it was not my wish. My plan was to repay all the amount by this month but it seems my plans did not go through. I am supposed to pay a certain amount tomorrow though that will not be possible. I target that by December 9 i will settle the whole loan or part of it. Accept my reschedule proposal

Hi Zidisha, I hope you are all doing great. I am doing fine back here in Kenya and still doing my final year studies at the university. So far my rabbit business has had a little blow that i am working hard to recover. There was an outbreak of a disease that affected my rabbits and several died. I contacted a veterinary who gave medication and the remaining are doing well. This month i was financially unstable and could not make to pay the 1000. I will resume next month and if possible compensate for this month. Thank you

    Hi,
Its almost one month since i received my loan and i am so happy that my project is growing day by day. I have had friends approaching me and asking me more about my business and they cant believe that it is through Zidisha that i have made such great steps. I have advised them to take a point to apply for the loan and i wish them well as they apply. I made a point of applying as a Volunteer Mentor and my hope is that my application will go through so that i can help more of my friends around my area also have a taste of success through Zidisha.
    Regards
    Martin
