About Me

My

raised up in bahati. Am born in a family of four my father and mother
are both farmers i do appreciate their effort in taking me through
education. In bahati whole grain to very well and my parents have been
growing maize to sell. I decided to start my business after seeing how
hardworking my parents are actually i see them as my role model. I
ventured in as a vendor i supply gazette to other vendors and i also
sell the 9in some offices.

My Business

I
stated selling gazette, magazine, biros, envelopes, sweets and other
small commodities way back in 2008. I got space near a bank to sell news
papers and through this i have expanded becauses i stated by selling
single newspapers to offices until i got my second loan where i stated
selling newspapers to vendor that is selling them in wholesale to other
sellers who later sell them as retailer. In this business there are
challenges since people like reading newspaper when there are

Have spoken to Edith today Monday 27th jan 2014 and she says she is very sorry for the delay, she has been sick not attending to her business which led not to honour her early promise. She has somebody who will be running her business from February and expect to resume paying as from end of February whatever little she will have accumulated. She will update us here on her profile within this week the progress of her business. VM Haroun

    Dear my lenders,
Thanks Roberta for informing my lenders about my conition. I am now recovering and i have plans of resuming my business starting from next week. I trust that within a period of two weeks, a will be in a position to start repaying my loan which was due on 20th October 2013. I have already talked to my suppliers and i believe they will supply me with stock so that i can in turn supply to my customers. The person who supplies me with books and magazines has accepted to give me on credit after which i will pay after the sales. I trust that within the two weeks period that i have given i will have made profit to be able to make the monthly payment of my loan. Once again, thankyou my lenders and God bless.

mobile phone cards and also sweets, pens etc. I am hoping that the business will be worthwhile since i have already established that there is a day primary school within the vicinity. I am hoping that the pupils can buy pens and exercise books as they walk to school and the teachers can buy newspapers and magazines. There are several small hotels within the centre and i will sell them newspapers for the customers to be reading as they take their meals. I hope also that the hotels are also going to buy the cleaning detergents which i am getting at a fair price. Towards the end of this week, i will visit them and see whether they can place some orders. I will update you. Thank you my lenders.

    Good morning my dear lenders.
I take this chance to update you on the progress of my business. About the opening of another branch in Bahati town, the person giving me space has already accepted but ofcourse at a small fee. We agreed that i look for money since i was planning to start operating the business in September. I am now in the process of trying to get the money so that the guy will allow me to operate the business. The business is targeting the people who live near Bahati center and some schools from within. I plan to sell newspapers

Given the fair price at which i will get the cleaning detergents, i believe that i will be able to sell to my customers at a price lower than the price they buy. This will assist me to be able to make my monthly loan repayment without fail. I am looking forward to be able to pay and clear my loan before the time that was scheduled for me. I am trusting God to open channels for me so that i can expand my business further. I still have plans of opening another branch at Bahati centre. This will happen at the beginning of next month.i.e September. I am still finalizing with the person giving me space. I will keep updating you on my progress.

    Dear my lenders.
I am fine thjs day and still trying to follow up my clients too see if i can be able to pay my loan which i rescheduled yesterday. Most of them are promising to pay up at the end of the month.I am also trying to look for other items to supply to schools like detergents for cleaning. Today i managed to visit a group of women who are making the detergents and they have agreed to sell to me the detergents at a wholesale price. I have also realized the price at which they are giving me is slightly lower than other places.

    Dear my lenders.
May i take this chance to greet you all. I am also fine and my family is fine. My business has been progressing well despite the challenge of the sales being down. I am proposing that i reschedule my loan repayment this month until October 2013. This is because most of my customers who are schools have closed down for holidays and will resume in September. They have requested that i wait until they resume and pay me. The other clients who had paid me at the beginning of the month, i used the money to add more stock which has not paid up. I am hoping that i will be able to repay the loan even before the proposed grace period. Thank you in advance.

Although with the news about athletics and some of our athletes winning gold medals, i am hoping that i will be able to sell newspapers. I am also planning to approach a manager of a small micro finance organization in town so that i can ask for an opportunity to supply newspapers. I look forward to a favorable response from the bank. I have already learnt that they buy newspapers from different suppliers in cash. I am hoping when i give them the offer of supplying them the newspapers and they pay at the end of the month, they will be excited. This is because of the reliability of the deal. I will keep updating you my lenders on my progress. Thank you for your support.

    Hello my lenders.
I am happy to update you on the progress of my business since the last time i communicated. I am progressing well despite a few normal challenges of business. My clients who pay at the middle of the month have done so and i have therefore managed to add some more stock which i hope to sell in cash. This is because i do not want to fail in making my monthly repayment for the loan this month. The business is a bit slow this time. I guess it is because there in no exciting news to warrant people to buy newspapers.

I therefore need to have raised the capital to be able to make the supplies. I also talked to a friend who supplies cereals to a school and she told me that it is a good business. As i look for more orders for newspapers in other schools, i am also thinking of looking for orders for cereals i.e dry beans and maize. If i get those kind of orders, then i believe i will be able to make more profit than i am currently making. School laboratory chemicals are also good orders if i can get. I will just buy the products from the big companies that deal with them and supply to the schools. But at first, i want to concentrate on the newspapers and cereals. This is because i do not have much capital. I will keep updating you on the progress. Am looking forward to clear my first loan so that my lenders can grant me another loan. Thank you once again. Bye.

    Dear my lenders.
I wish to take this opportunity to say hello to you my lenders and thank you once again for your support. I also wish to update you on the progress of my business. I am doing well and hoping to make my third loan repayment in time i.e. on 20th of this month. As i had said in my last communication, am trying my level best to be able to raise the capital for the order that i was given. I am supposed to start supplying once the schools re open. I have since established that the schools will be opening the first week of September.

    Dear my lenders.
I hereby wish to take this chance to send my greetings to you. I hope you are well. Am well also and protected by God. My business is also is not doing badly. I am still in the process of organizing funds so that i start the business in Bahati. After doing the physical survey of the area and realizing that there was a lot of potential, i approached two Principals of different schools and they have promised to give me the orders to supply newspapers next term. The only challenge that i have now is to get the money since they want me to supply and then they pay on monthly basis. I am now working hard on the business in town to ensure that i will be able to raise the funds for the business. I am also looking forward to be able to pay my monthly loan repayment so that Zidisha can grant me a second loan. I once again appreciate you my lenders for this support. May God bless you mightly together with your families. I will keep updating you on my progress.

    Dear my lenders.
May i take this chance to update on the progress of my business. I am doing well and this far i can say that there is a lot of hope that i will definitely expand my business. The customers who had given me monthly orders have increased the orders and i am supplying more to them. I have also secured an order with a bank and i am now supplying them with newspapers everyday. I was also planning to open another branch of the business in Bahati center, which is seven kilometers from Nakuru town. I have already done a survey and discovered that there are several schools within the center. I am targeting the schools so that they can give me orders for the same. This will happen when the schools open next term i.e. in September. I am hoping to secure some orders to supply and this will greatly boost my business. I believe the residents of Bahati will also benefit from the business as i will also sell them magazines. Once again i wish you my lenders a very good time and promise to keep updating you on my business progress. Thank you very much.

    Dear my lenders.
Am very grateful for the support that you have given me so far. I have really benefited from the first loan that you gave me. My business has also been doing well. However, i have some customers who pick newspapers and magazines for schools and pay the third week of every month, that is why i re-pay my loan on 20th of the month. These customers have however requested me not to pay this month and pay next month for the two months. I am therefore requesting that i reschedule my loan payment to next month. I look forward to a favourable response from you. Thank you in advance.
