About Me

Hello, my name is Khady Faye. I am a practicing muslim and live with my mother, brother and niece. At the moment, I am responsible for them because my sister who works cannot manage everything, she needs my help. Now, I want to work but I don’t have the means to finance myself so that I can work. It’s my mother and my father who educated me well but my father has since passed away.

My Business

Now I work in a training school called ICM, institute of commerce and management, but during my vacations I do not work. It’s for this reason I would like to change my workplace. It’s at the Regional Council of Dakar where I propose the opening of my new restaurant. It’s for this that I ask for a loan from Zidisha to open this restaurant. I have already borrowed twice at FDA (microlending institution) - 350,000 CFA (roughly $700) and 650,000 CFA (roughly $1,300) – but the interest rates that they requested were too high. It’s for this reason I stopped working with them after the repayment of my second loan.

Loan Proposal

I want a loan from Zidisha so that I can start a restaurant that I want to open. Because I want to work to be able to pay back my Zidisha loan. The money I make will go to Zidisha and the rest will go to help my family. Because I have a niece living with me for whom I am responsible. It’s because of this and my mother that I want to work to make money and help them both.
