My names are Alice Wanjiru Karanja A Kenyan citizen aged 34 years.I have
Married to one husband Haron Mwangi and blessed with two children a boy
aged 12 years old and a girl of 4 years old. I am a residence of Rescourse Langa Langa Estate
in Nakuru County and my home is immediate from the road. I finished
high school at Passenga High School and Later joined NCCK College In Nakuru
where i did Secretarial.
I worked at A company called Creator Machinery as a Secretary from the
year 2006 to 2010 and resigned to start up a Farming project at my farm in
Dondori Nyandarua County where i bought a 2 acre farm just 20 meters from
the main Nakuru Nyahururu highway . I started with three Milk cows after i
constructed a cowshed. Right now my cowshed is spacious enough and unique
to accommodate 13 cows. I have plans for expanding more space after one to
two years. I have engaged myself also in potatoes farming and i usually
harvest about 11 bugs per harvest. I have employed two workers one on dairy
farm and the other one on potatoes farm. I usually visit my farm twice to
thrice a week.
Happy new year dear lenders.I have successfully planned for dairy farm
which consist 13 cows and potato farm in Dondori Nyandarua County which is
roughly 20 Kilometres from Nakuru Town. My cowshed contains a well designed
small cottages for potential tourists to visit. There is an adequate land
for green fodder cultivation. The cowshed contains separate rooms for milk
room, stores, labor rest room, calf room,my office room, and an area for
strolling cows and my work guard. My cowshed is surrounded by a boundary
wall with a gate. For collecting compost cow dung and urine i and my worker
have done a proper design for it. I decided to set up this project as i
have so much passion in farming project. Cows produce milk to nourish their
offspring and nothing is more vital than milk in calf's development. In
order to consistently produce more milk, i repeatedly impregnate my cows. I
have a total of three calf and one of my cows is expecting a calf in march.
I have a selective breeding and high protein feed to increase milk
production. I roughly harvest 50 liters per day and sell some to my neighbors and the other to Brookside Limited Company.
Am so thankful once again for handing me this great opportunity to explore my dreams through this organization. I have plans for expanding more space after one to
two years. I have engaged myself also in potatoes farming and i usually
