My names are Mary Njoki Mwaniki, a Kenyan citizen. I was born in 1986 in Kamahoha village, Lamuria division of Laikipia County. My parents are Mr Joseph Mwaniki and Teresia Wanjiku. My mother resides in Gathioro village of Laikipia county near Nanyuki town. My father passed on two years ago.
I went to Gathioro primary school and Kangubiri secondary school both in Laikipia County. Later, I joined Baringo teachers college for a certificate in primary school teaching completing in 2008. I have a passion for teaching and this inspired me to open my own school. Later in life I moved to Rongai District of Nakuru County where I got married and got blessed with two beautiful twins; Wincelet Wangeci and Alfa Kamau.Together with my family live on a three acre piece of land named as rongai/164 ,near kimangu high school where we have established a primary school. The school runs from ECD (early childhood development) to standard seven. The current population is 100 pupils.
The ECD section has 25 pupils who pay Ksh 1,200 per term which translates to Ksh 30,000. The cost of paying teachers and other instructional materials comes to Ksh 18,000 per term leaving a net income of Ksh 12,000.
The primary section has 75 pupils who pay Ksh 4,900 per term which translate to Ksh 365,500. The cost of paying teachers and other instructional materials, including co-curricular activities comes to Ksh 180,000 leaving me with a net profit of Ksh 185,500.
The total income from the ECD and primary sections is 197,500 per term which translates to Ksh 49,375 per month. Please, note that a term has four months.
Since I am a professional teacher, I have the capacity to mold pupils and monitor them in such a way that parents prefer my school to that of my competitors.

I want to put up a new kitchen for use during the day since mine is a day school. A modest kitchen for two hundred pupils would require an approximate amount of Ksh 450,000. The amount so far applied for in this loan is not enough and it will require me to source other amounts from my savings. I intend to do my project in 3 phases; phase one will involve putting up one room which will be used as a cooking area with basic items like sufurias (cooking pots), pans, spoons etc. This will cost an approximate Ksh 150,000. Phase two will cost a further Ksh 150,000 and will involve putting up an adjacent room to be use as a storage area. The final phase will involve modernizing the kitchen equipments and will cost Ksh 150,000.
