About Me

My full names are Solomon Abwalaba Mukoshi, a resident of Lanet town which is about 12 Kilometers from Nakuru town. I have been in this place for the past twenty years. I was born in Kakamega District which is in western part of Kenya. At the age of twelve years my parents and the whole of the family relocated to Nakuru. This was in the year 1992. In the year 1994, we shifted to Lanet, a small outskirt town of Nakuru. This is where I finished my primary school at and later joined a local secondary school in the area. I am married and blessed with two children who are in school. I live in plot number 12250/65 at the town of Lanet. . I am a businessman at this town. The business that I engage in is that of selling potato crisps. This is a business that I started in the year 2005. It is a good business and the demand for these products is usually good. This is a business that I love so much and would love to improve it more.

My Business

I started this business in the year 2005. This was not a very easy task and I had to overcome a lot of difficulties in ensuring the business continues on well without problems. The business required about 50000ksh of capital to start which was not very easy to come by. This financial difficulty prompted me to always postpone the day of commencing on the business. I started to save little amount of money from the casual work I was doing in the area of Lanet. When the amount reached 50000ksh, I immediately bought small quantities of potato crisps and this did not go on well. I was forced to quit and waited for the month of December. During this month there was good market and the business picked on well. I expanded the business using the amount of revenue that I got from the month of December. The following months were good as the business had now already picked on. I now have an average capital of 200000ksh and will even hope to expand the business more with this loan that I will get from Zidisha.

Loan Proposal

I want to use this loan to improve the business by creating a more attractive and spacious room in my shop. I also would like to open another potato crisps in the town. This will reduce my customers frequent movement to obtain the potato crisps from my shop. This will also be convenient as I can serve more customers at any one given time in the two shops as opposed to one shop.
