About Me

I am a 22yrs old law undergraduate at Moi University Eldoret. I am also a farmer in that i have a cow and a calf and quite a number of chicken that I keep for commercial purposes. I am a 2nd born in a family of four children where my mother is a nurse and my father retired.I started my business in order to support myself through school. i sell eggs and milk but most of my income is generated from the mllk business.

My Business

As I mentioned earlier my business entails the selling of milk and eggs but most of my income is generated from the milk business. My cow produces an average of 12litres per day. I sell 10litres and the other 2litres are used for domestic purposes. in a day I earn about ksh. 500 but all my customers pay at the end of the month. I use the eggs business to sustain the milk business and therefore none of the expenses are catered for by the profits i earn from the milk. the business is profitable since most people nowadays prefer fresh farm milk to processed milk since its healthier and even cheaper and therefore one can never lack customers. the risk my business faces is that my cow may fall sick and thus threatening the amount of milk generated and eventually my income but I always ensure that my cow and calf maintain a clean bill of health.

Loan Proposal

I will add up the requested loan to my savings of KES 30000 to buy a second cow worth about KES 55000 solely for the purpose of milk production which will ultimately lead to increased income.The balance of the amount will be used to purchase dairy feeds which at the current market price go for 2200 Kenya shillings a bag and also play a part in buying pesticides for pest control. This is to ensure that there is consistency in production for a stable flow of income.

I am terribly sorry for my unfirtunate delay. this year has not been very lucky for ne both businesswise and healthwise but im still struggling on. ppease bear with me for now as i fully intend to work with zidisha team in ensuring that i complete my loan repayment on time. once again I am sincerely sorry. Due to a few delays my business has not been able to catch up yet. Fish take quite some time to mature and that is why I have not yet started profiting from the fish business yet. I have to wait at least two more months so as at now my business is surviving from the milk business but as from next month I will be good to go God willing as I will have put everything in order. please allow me to reschedule in order to ensure timely payments. As for the persistent medical condition that has been on and off in the past few months,I am rescheduling this months repayment as the medical expenses have taken a toll on the finances and business operations. Having .said so,I am hopeful of this next month's prospects as my condition is getting better by the day. Thank you in advance.

Due to personal health issues which have caused me to be in and out of the hospital this past month, I may not be able to repay my loan on time this month as most of my finances have been depleted as a result of paying for my treatment fees and pharmaceutical expenses but I do promise to be back on track by 8th May 2013 and to pay promptly as I have been doing for the previous months. thank you in advance
