About Me

Hi to all of you, I was born in a family of six children, in a neighborhood affected with poor education, riddled with poverty and rampant crime, but despite this I managed to attain a college diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Railways Training Institute. Each single year, I have witnessed young boys and girls drop out of school due pregnancies or fees non payment. Such clearly draws you a picture of the area I come from. So, it’s not amusing to see young people aged as little as ten years engage in brick making activities as a means to sustain them. I have always been determined to organize things and promote the need for education, hence my idea to start a brick molding project where my mature workers can sustain themselves financially by being able to raise school fees for their children some of which I directly deposit to their children’s relevant schools. Each working day, I hire people to help mould the clay and buy raw materials to bake the raw bricks which I then sell to local dealers. I obtain the raw materials i.e clay, grass and wood from the local swamp where all operations are being run.

My Business

I find it useful to say that basically, I am engaged in selling bricks to the local community where over the last years I have witnessed an active transition from mud grass thatched houses to brick-walled ones. Despite the hurdles involved, there has always been a huge demand for bricks especially now that a considerable percentage of my buyers come from up town. The location of my site on the swamp is easily accessible by road hence I do not incur any labor charges that could be involved in transporting finished bricks to a more accessible site, this has been the very factor favoring my business. Notably, my site is on more fine clay unlike the lumpy type of clay which could lower brick quality. Throughout my venture, I have managed to gain the trust of my buyers through keeping on schedule and the right pricing of bricks at 10 shillings per piece and by offering discounts on all my sales. My costs incurred depend on the volume size of clay, bricks and firewood involved. For example it averagely costs around six thousand shillings to bake 1000 bricks over a period of 4-5 days. Each month I can averagely produce 4000 bricks which costs around 24000 shillings over 70% paid to labor costs. I intend to purchase a brick molding equipment for faster production and to cut down on the massive labor costs.

Loan Proposal

I find it useful to say that basically, I am engaged in selling bricks to the local community where over the last years I have witnessed an active transition from mud grass thatched houses to brick-walled ones. Despite the hurdles involved, there has always been a huge demand for bricks especially now that a considerable percentage of my buyers come from up town. This loan will help me acquire a brick compressing machine which will increase quantity and quality of bricks, which as a result my will increase profits.
From the profits i will be able to repay the loan.kindly assist
thanks in advance

people like this make it harder for the honest sincere normal people, and also puts off potential lenders and fuks up the whole system. There's no excuse for theft it's just pure selfish greed. In whichever religion, karma, or even atheism there's no excuse for stealing, and especially by biting the hand that feeds you. I'm so glad that Zidisha have changed the method of entry and reduced the interest rates

Dear lenders for Cliff Ragira, I have severally tried if I can reach him through the phone his number response is that it is no longer in service, same to his family members and also have not been able to reach his community leader as well, I have initially been trying through one of his friend Josephat Mokogoti who know him, but we have never succeeded to reach him, I requested the lenders that I am trying all I can if I can be able to reach Cliff or his family members.

    Dear Zidisha and Lenders fraternity,
I am still unable to reach Cliff Ragira from the first time he was assigned to me, same to his community leader family members apart from Josephat Mokogoti who have been in contact concerning where about of cliff. Josephat has today confirmed to me that next week he will travel back to Kisii from Kisumu and try to trace Cliff down as Josephat knows some friends of Cliff who can help us trace him. If possible we will have a trip to his home ground as it not much far from my home town and know exactly what has gone that he is unable to repay his loans or he joined zidisha to get a loan and run away.
Lastly, I will be in touch and once I and Josephat gets through way to trace and reach Cliff I will definitely update you immediately.
