I am the last born in a family of 4 and I have successfully completed diploma in sales and marketing.
I am single and reside at Githurai Progressive. I run and manage my own business which is based in Githurai. I have also employed a young lady to assist in the management of the business. My business involves selling of phone accessories, phone repair and offering mpesa services.
I started this business from capital given by my parents and this was after I looked for a job for over 5 months and then decided to utilize my skills which I acquired in college and now am happy for the decision I made because am in position to offset my month expenses, repaid my parents the capital which they gave me to start the business and also am saving some money every month so that I can expand my business.
My business has been in operation for the last two years and it is based in Githurai Progressive. My business involves selling phone accessories, phone repair and mpesa services. I have hired a young lady to assist in the repair of the phones.
My business is a male dominated industry but I have successfully managed to compete with them thus I have established good customer base because of good customer relations, excellent phone repair skills and trustworthy. I intend to expand my business by increasing the cash float for mpesa and buying few phone repair machines and also new phone accessories because I have been experiencing shortage in float and phone accessories thus through your gradually support I will be in position to expand my business by having good stock and also establishing a franchise in another another upcoming town in Kenya like Busia and Wajir, this is because of the devolved systems of government.
My business is located in a central point of my community thus most of the local people who wants to access Mpesa services and phone issues usually visit my business and also because it is being operated by women despite being male dominated affairs like phone repair but we do also have good customer relation services. With the Zidisha loan I intend to increase my Mpesa float by Kshs 6000 while the Kshs 2500 will be used to purchase phone casings while kshs 3500 will be used to purchase phone battery. This will satisfy customers demand thus increasing my revenue hence being in position to achieve my goal of dominating the local industry.
