i run two business where by am the manager of those two business. My shop is located at mwisho wa lami shopping center which is near bahati police station in nakuru county ,bahati north district.the shop is a retail one where i buy and sell varieties of goods eg sugar, soap, sweets, loaves etc which are packed in small quantities for the local people to be able to purchase.from this business am able to raise the house rent for the premises which is 2000ksh per month and also get sufficient amount to run the business and day to day needs of my family.the business is profitable because i target the local people by selling goods at small quantities which they can afford. My business faces the risk of high competition from other similar adjusent businesses which are highly stocked. The monthly cost of the business is about 10,000ksh and sale revenue approximate to15000ksh and profit of 5000ksh.(the figures are approximate depending on the season) .I also own a matatu which plies the root from nakuru nyahururu via bahati. The matatu caries a capacity of 14 passengers. The distance between the two town ie from nakuru to nyahururu is approximate 80km where we charge 200ksh per passenger.from nakuru to bahati center is about 20km whereby we charge 50ksh per person.i also have employe d a driver at a cost of 500ksh per day.The business is profitable because it provides 90% oof my daily expences. The monthly cost of this business is 100000ksh andsales revenue is about 150,000ksh and aprofit of about 50000ksh,(the figures are approximate depending on the season).Currently the business is at a slow pick because my matatu needs total renovation ie change of tyres, seats and paint which amounts to roughly 150,000ksh.with this amount am able to raise a total of 100000ksh and i am entire need of 50000ksh which am confident that zidisha microfinance will be able to to facilitate me with after reviewing my application.
I will invest the first amount given to my shop by buying goods that are commonly consumed by my customer and by doing this I will be able to increase the amount given to double at the end of the month. This will greatly boost my business and it will be a good start.the first going goods include cooking fat, petroleum jelly, sweets, credit card etc.
