I am Samuel Ndirangu.
I am the last born in a family of 4.I was born and brought up in Nyeri county 29 years ago.
I studied in the local schools and i managed to score a grade of C plain in my high school exams.
I decided to relocate to Athi-river about 4 years ago where i reside upto date.I do casual jobs and concentrate much on my business.
I got married about 2 years ago and I am blessed with a baby boy called Leon.
I decided to make my own money and the entrepreneurial drive in me made me start my own business which entails selling of second-hand clothes locally known as 'mitumba'.
I normally buy the clothes at a famous market called 'Gikomba' like 2 times a week.
I buy at a price of around kshs. 8,000 and make the sales from the same of around kshs. 10,000.
In a good month,I make sales of upto kshs. 25,000 and a profit of kshs. 10,000 ( roughly 120 dollars)
I will use the money I get from my sales to repay back the loan.
There is always demand for my clothes because of the good location and the favorable price.having stayed for over 4 years in this area,I have a good network of friends and they help in marketing my business by the quality of clothes I sell to them.
The business is profitable to the fact that I never sell any type of clothe at the same price i bought it at.There is always a risk in terms of people not paying in time (those I sell in credit terms) and others not paying at all due to financial constraints.
I will invest all the money in buying more stock and building a better stall where I wait for my customers.
With the sales stated above and the amount I get monthly as profit of upto $ 120,I will comfortably repay the loan.
I will now buy my clothes in bales which will make me concentrate more on the sales rather than on the road getting several pieces from 'Gikomba' where I normally buy.
By Lenders giving me the loan,it will be a big boost to my business and even the customers will be more attracted by the increase of varieties and stock.
I will also change the face of my stall to give a better diplay than how it is right now.
