About Me

I am single, a Catholic Christian I attend Christ the King cathedral in Nakuru. I was born in Kisii County. I attended my primary school at Mwangaza academy later on joined Rangenyo Girls High School. I later went to Jogoo college which is situated in Nakuru Town. Then finally went to Rift Valley Institute for Science and technology (RVIST) for my Certificate in Science Lab, I completed my course in November 2012 Currently I live in nakuru town racecourse approximately one and half kilometers from town (Nakuru). I work at My cereal shop which is situated in section 58 location approximately 1Km from Nakuru town. I am a sole proprietor and have been operating it for almost a year now

My Business

After completing my certificated in science lab in year 2012 November I acquired some money from my elder brother and started buying farm products cereals i.e Maize, Beans, Peas and Sorghum. For the last few months i have been able to get and maintain my customers who are increasing. Very fast . i get my supplies from the farm directly actually during the harvesting time beacause its cheap at that time. My business is has an advantage over others because i outsource cereals from the shamba directly and i sort the cereals and then dry them completely. Also i sell them more cheaper than others since i get them at a cheper price
Cereals in Nakuru town have an effective demane because of the very high population. In a month i incur an expense of KES 35,000 and sales volume of KES 80,000 and approximately KES 40,000 . the business currently faces minimal risks because the cereals is the staple food in kenya for most of the people.

Loan Proposal

I will use my second loan to buy more stock of cereals, treat them and dry them properly. At this time of the year most of the farmers are selling maize, beans and other cereals to raise money to pay school fees. This will create a shortage of maize and beans in the next coming one month and I will take that opportunity to sell the maize at a very high price from the returns I will be able to pay the loan very quickly, Best wishes
