About Me

I am Githaiga Mwangi aged 26 years. come from a family of five My parents and two siblings. Am the last born to my two brothers. I come from Nyandarua county from a small town called Oljoro-orok. Currently am living at Ongata Rongai Nairobi Kajiado county where I live with my lovely wife. Am a small scale businessman ttrding in vegetables in the local market. I mostly purchase tomatoes from farmers and sell them to retailers in wholesale. I plough back part of my proceedings to my business and the rest goes to paying bills and rent. I'll be glad to be funded so that am able to improve my business.

My Business

As stated in my introduction am a small scale trader doing business in vegetables. I get tomatoes from farmers and sell them to retailers on a wholesale basis. One thing that is inevitable in the human race is eating and especially of vegs which is a common meal on our African tables. And with a very high growth of our urban cities the demand for food is skyrocketing thus making the food business very competitive. The reason as to why people prefer my business is because I am able to get to the farmer and get fresh vegetables and deliver them in the shortest time possible thus i deliver them fresh. The business makes profit in a small margin but with large quantity of trade one can really go places. The major risk in this business is perishability of goods. I make upto 50000 in sales and it costs 30000 in purchase thus giving me 20000 profit. I intend to use the loan granted to expand my business and it's the same I'll use to payback. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to rent a store for storage of my vegetables and will also buy more vegetables to improve my stock. Having a store of my own will help curb perishability and it will also help me be in a position to buy vegetables in larger quantities and market them slowly when the market is slow. I believe being lend this loan is the best opportunity is for me. I will be able to improve on my services and stock thus the income. And being in the ever competitive food business I'll always be on time in my payment.

      Hi James,

      Good to hear from you.

I'm not familiar with Zidisha's repayment methods but this is what I could find on the website: "You may view Zidisha's account number and payment instructions in the Repayment Schedule page of your Zidisha account."
Yuu could also email [email protected]. Unfortunately I don't have a phone number for you. Perhaps someone else has more detailed information?

      Thanks,
      Astrid

I first of all apologize for any inconvinience I may cause by rescheduling my loan. I've tried my level best to repay in time but well things happen. Well as I explained I deal with farm produce and the market depends so much on the weather which is a challenge I've faced of late. It's been raining so heavy all over the country and with poorly maintained roads transport have been a major challenge thus delaying supply and with such delay one cannot manoeuvre the market appropriately. I'm requesting to reschedule my payments till 30th of March by which I shall have adopted to the challenge at hand and be in a position to commence payment. I believe you'll put my humble request into consideration. Gratitudes
    Jimmy
