I am single, a Catholic Christian I attend Christ the King cathedral in Nakuru. I was born in Nakuru County. I attended my primary school at Freehold Primary school later on I joined Naivasha Girls High School. I later went to Narok Campus situated in Narok Town and did my diploma in Community health later I joined Jogoo College in Nakuru town where I did my computer packages. Currently I live in Freearea approximately Two Kilometers from town (Nakuru). I work at My Salon which is situated in Freearea location approximately 2 Km from Nakuru town. I am the owner and I have been running it for the last 4 years. Where I have established harmonious working relationship with the society and also the surrounding community.
I operate a saloon business located in free area in the outskirts of Nakuru town in a famously known centre called free area.
I have been operating it for the last four years. I decided to offer these services because of the great desire I have in service delivery. Nakuru has a very high population dominated by a high percentage of youthful population which creates a high demand for the service
I offer the following services:- Blow dry, Wash and set, Blow out, facial scrubbing, shaving, Hair dying, Pedicure/Manicure, plaiting and ear piercing.
For the last four years I have captured a good number of customers who prefer my business because of the high quality services, friendly prices which are affordable and also fully trained Beauticians.
I also sell cosmetics, braids, human hair, weaves and artificial nails (fingers and toes) it has been my desire to expand my business more to sell beads such as earrings, bangles, necklaces, anklets purse and also handbags but it has been difficult due to inadequate finance. Also I would wish to improve my service delivery to satisfy my increasing customers.
In a month am able to make sales revenue of approximately KES 60,000 and during peak seasons like April, August and December holidays the sales increases to approximately KES 100,000. I incur a monthly expenses of approximately KES 30,000 Inclusive of electricity labour and purchases
I will use my second loan to give my business a facelift by using part of the amount advanced to me to buy a new hair drier, this will cost Ksh 16,000 the rest will be used to buy human hair currently trending, I will also increase my stock on weaves and ornaments such as on earrings, bracelets etc. The drier will enable me serve two customers at once this will come in handy this being the festive seasons which oftenly are characterized by lots of clients. I really appreciate the support I have received from the Zidisha family, Happy Holidays and God bless you all.
