I am married with four children and i live within Free area of Nakuru County in the republic of Kenya.I have done a diploma in laboratory technology and I'm a practising technician.I started this business out the desire to become a self employed person and as well assisting those who are sick more especially in doing laboratory tests in malaria, typhoid and other diseases. What i purchase with my earnings revolves around syringes, medicine as drugs, and other lab equipments. I have run this business for the last 6 years and this has enabled me to educate my children, purchased a plot for residential, and has always provided food for my family. In my own experience, self reliance is key in life and i always encourage people to do the same through small enterprises development.
My business is about doing laboratory tests to individuals, counselling and referrals. There is demand for this services because in the contemporary society, people prefer to go for check ups first before going for treatment. That is why there is demand for this services.Secondly, my services is on demand due to quality services and good customer relations which has been our bottom line. Our competitive edge has been good pricing compared to others dealing with similar businesses.Competition is always averse in any business.Such competition is price and price fluctuation & marketing trends. The business is profitable since all services are done in one place. laboratory tests, referrals and counselling. My typical monthly costs runs from Kshs. 35,000 and sales revenue and profits range from Kshs. 60,000.After sales is Kshs. 25,000.This is actually saved in my savings account for future use as well as for contingency plans in regard to my social status and my business.
I will use the loan for purchasing more laboratory equipments and for supplies and services.I want to thank you my lenders for having that trust in me and i look forward to giving progressive re[ports as and when appropriate.Iam able now to have more clients out of this loan for getting more supplies, new equipments and my clients are being served well. Thank you very much.
