About Me

My name is David Makosi Mutie. I was born in the year 1973 in a place called Kabazi in Nakuru County. I went Kabazi Primary School then to Solai Secondary School in Nakuru. Then after school I went into small scale farming up to date. I am a family man with five children three are in school. the first born aged 15 is a form two student at bahati P.C.E.A Secondary school the second born dennies mutie is in class eight in bahti P.C.E.A primary school the youngest in school is martin njoroge who is in class three. i am sitting committee member in this bahati P.C.E.A.

I come from bahati at a place called bibilion 15 km from Nakuru town along Bahati Forest which is usually known as Bahati Scheme.Bahati Scheme boaders Bahati Forest as one leaves Nakuru town on your way to Bahati Centre you go past Bahati Centre then to Molop you branch on your right then you take a rough road that lead to Phylis Muthoni Memorial P.C.E.A Church, just adjacent your ask for Mutie’s home plot no. 9/34.

My Business

I do small scale farming where I grow maize,beans,peas, tomatoes,potatoes, cabbages, vegetables e.t.c. I also keep chickens Kienji. From my small scale farming I get about 500000 per year and from the sale of chicken and it’s product I do get about 150000 so the total annual income per year is about 6500000. I use the amount to cater for my family I also pay school fees and also help my aged parents who depend on me. The remaining amount I use to continue my business. Even if I am small scale farming I am able to get good produce through out the because our is very good climatic wise and I am able to plan my small farm to produce in different time of the year. In the same year I plant maize which take long to mature then when they about to I plant another plant in between like vegetables , cabbages and carrots or potatoes then when I harvest maize the other plant are left to mature it may happen that after harvesting all the crops I start all over again. The crops which take short time mature are planted at least twice or thrice a year depending on the climate during that. this is because some the long rain may come early during that season we plant three times and when the rainy start normaly on april we do it twice.

Loan Proposal

i will use the loan to buy some broiler chicks which will help me get more money when i sell them when they come of age as they mature after three months. i will get the knowledge of how to feed and look after them after attending to field days organised by various companies. i will also buy some layers which will give me eggs . there is a wide market in Nakuru town and i will use the advantage to sell my eggs.
