I was born in Rongai. I now work in Nakuru town for Metro Cleaners. All my siblings live in Rongai. I am married with two children; a boy and a girl. They both attend a private academy, Good Hope Academy. I live in Kenland Estate. This is situated a few meters from Nakuru town. As an ambitious lady, I work with the aim of adding value to myself to myself and family every year. This is what gives me motivation to move on. Nakuru is a warm place but can be very hot some times. However, agriculture thrives well despite this. It has been listed as one of the fastest growing towns in Kenya and hence a hub for investors who see a big opportunity. It is also the headquarters of Nakuru County and District. Another major activity that makes Nakuru a destination for many is tourism. This has really boosted the economy of Nakuru.
As earlier stated I work with Metro Cleaners. With the rising cost of living, hosting a family in an urban setup is quite costly. The kid’s education and food has also been costly of late. Because of the reasons, for relying on the salary can be really exhausting. There has to be other means of sourcing the money besides earning. I have the advantage of the family land, in Rongai, which has really been of help to me. Maize do well here. I have three acres of land under maize. I plant beans alongside maize. The warm climate is good for the maize and beans production. The market is just a few kilometers away in Nakuru town where National Cereals and Produce Board is situated. There is a good road, a highway, to the market. A bag of maize in the market goes for Sh. 2400 and that of beans is Sh. 2700. My long term goal is to establish my own company that offers cleaning services in town. As I head there, I will need to have cleaning machines to use in washing the offices. Thanks to all the lenders.

The warm climate is good for the maize and beans production. The planting season is near and i am planning to use the Zidisha Loan to add to the money I already have to buy the farm inputs and prepare the land for planting. I will prepare the land by ploughing it. Then I will need to buy the certified maize seeds and fertilizer. The loan will go a long way in helping me as I forge for other ideas as earlier stated. Thank you to Zidisha Community and to all the lenders.
