About Me

My name is Florence NAmukhula Mwenya.I come from kakamega county, lugari subcounty, matete district, chevaywa ward, kulumbeni sub-location,lumani village.I am a mother of two and currently expecting a last born.i went to makhukhuni primary school, sipala secondary school and later Egerton university where i graduated with a bachelors degree in Computer Science.being a house wife,i engage in so many activities apart from taking care of my family and doing clothing business,I do crop farming and poultry farming although at a peasant scale.I do career guidance to secondary school children and am happy to be a mentor to some of them.I even support some of them monthly(those needy and orphaned) by providing them with sanitary pads.having grown up as an orphan and going through so many challenges,i understand their pain and on a good month,i do some small shopping to each of them and i wish i could do more to many more who are in need.I venture in a fashion industry where i purchase quality lady stuff like handbags from Kampala Uganda and sell them to my clients here in Kenya.my first loan from zidisha did me good.It gave my business a big boost and am glad i paid back without any difficulties and my business grew.earnings from my business have greatly improved the living standards of my family.I can afford personal stuff without having to bother my husband.am planning to diversify my earnings.i have managed to construct a poultry house where i intent to commercialize my poultry farming.i want to buy improved kienyeji chicken, rear them and sell at a good price to make a profit.I am sure this will greatly stabilize my financial position.when my poultry business grows and stabilizes,my two businesses will be in a position to finance each other.i will be in a position to give more to charity organizations.i want to be my own satisfied employer.i want to give more to the society, because i have received so much from the society.am glad i have interacted with good hearted people in this our society who have helped me reach where i am.i thank God for the far i have come.

My Business

My business involves selling of clothes.i sell lady shoes, handbags, mens shirts, perfumes, petroleum jelly.let me say i sell anything related to clothing as long as a client gives me an order.most of the times when i go to kampala i go with orders from my specific clients.most kenyan especially ladies prefer clothes from uganda.according to them and me also, they are very fashionable, unique, quality with affordable prices.lady handbags and shoes take most of my purchases.i buy one lady handbag at approximately 10$ and sell it at averagely 30$one hand bag gives me an average profit of 20$a pair of shoes costs me approximately 6$ and i get an average profit of 10$on each of the products i sell,i target a profit of at least 10$ depending on how bulky it is.handbags and lady clothes are my favorites because they give me good profits.i go to kampala monthly and on a good month i make up-to 350$the biggest challenge to my business is when some of my clients who pay me in installments fail to fulfill their pledge as agreed.this delays some of my plans because every time i travel to Uganda,i like it when i have more capital than the already made orders so that i can buy more stuff that's new in the market to introduce to my clients.another challenge i have is to make night travels, reach uganda morning, shop and again travel back at night back.sometimes its tedious but am encouraged because the fruits are sweet and as always put,"no sweat to gain"i am glad i have built a big network of clients, where i encourage my clients to tell their friends about my business and i must admit my clients are my biggest tool of advertisement.i plan to diversify my business and integrate it with poultry farming so that i have i wider source of income.i will repay my loan using profits from my clothing industry so that i allow my poultry business grow and be sustainable at a faster rate so that i can continue paying my bills and siblings schoolfees without struggling.

Loan Proposal

After graduating from university,i have been job hunting for long till i got tired and thought of starting my own business and being my own boss and even being an employer when i grow. Most of my clients are so much in love with female stuff from uganda i.e handbags, shoes and clothes.
With this loan,i will buy more stock from uganda to satisfy the overwhelming demand that is beyond my supply. This will help me achieve my dream of becoming a self dependent woman without limits.my business deals with buying and selling lady bags, shoes and fabrics. Please help me achieve this dream.i have much passion in the fashion industry and i want to be that one example that can start with nothing to something.i want to have financial freedom and stop being just a atay home mum.i mean a housewife.i want to be productive.i believe with zidisha,i am moving vloser.i intend to pay promptly and acquire more and more as i expand my business more and more.

Dear all my lenders and the management at large, I would like to notify you that I wanted to reduce my loan repayment amount from KES 920 to KES 700 since my budget is somehow fixed and once things stabilize in my business I will again be able to re increase my repayment amount.

Thank you all and hope you accept me changes.
