My name is Wilfred Mwende. I come from Machakos. I am the second born in a family of 4. I am single and i live in Tassia estate.I am a saloonist and i own a saloon in south b estate. I completed my form four in 2002 and later went to copperbelt school of Hairdressing for 2 years. After that I was employed as a hairdresser where I worked worked in a saloon in Buruburu for 3 years and later also worked in south c for another 3 years still as an employee then with the experience i gained, I decided to start my own saloon business which I have now run for the last six years. I started my own business because I realized I had gained enough experience from my years of work and needed to have something of my own.
I own a saloon in South b. I provide beauty services such as manicure, pedicure, facials, weaving, and plaiting. My business has a high demand because women like to look good so I never lack clients and I have made a lot of them in my many years of work. In my type of business there is stiff competion and so I have to work well with my clients to keep them. My customers prefer me to the competition because I am an expert in what I do and I always make sure that they are satisfied and happy with my services. Though my line of business has not much risk, there are a lot of challenges which I try to minimize to the best of my ability. In a month I make at least 60000 and after subtracting all my expenses I remain with about 30000 as profit.
I will use the loan to increase my stock by buying hair products such as weaves, wigs and hair piece. I will also buy chemicals, hair oils, treatments, shampoos, conditioners and beauty products like facial creams, body lotions. I will also buy a few dummies that will be used for training students and anything else my business needs.
