About Me

I am a twenty eight year old female Kenyan Citizen. I reside in Kahawa Wendani just next to Nakumatt Wendani House Number 9, Plot Number 12.
I am the second born in a family of four. My parents reside in Mang'u Central Kenya. I have one brother and two sisters.
I hold a Diploma in Information Technology from Hemland College in Thika.
I own a cyber cafe in Kahawa Wendani. I started my business after graduating from college in 2010. I thought to myself instead of just tarmacking without doing something, I decided to start up a cyber cafe which even the services I offer are related with what I learnt in school.
Apart from internet services, I also offer printing, photocopying, typing among others.

My Business

Stella Cyber Cafe' is located in Kahawa Wendani. I offer fast internet services. I have twelve computers including the main computer that controls the other seven.
Apart from internet services, I also offer printing, photocopying, editing, scanning services among others.
There is demand for my services because first I offer first reliable internet services. I use so far the best internet service provider in the country which is very fast and reliable. 3G internet.
Kahawa Wendani's population is mostly young people because Kenyatta University is near, hence there is high deman for internet services. Since I offer fast and reliable services, I am able to stay on top of my competitors. The fact that I also have I.T background makes me the best suited for the job.
The risks involved in the business include power surges that could easily damage the computers and other accessories. Also, in-case of heavy downtime in the internet provider leads to customer frustration which is very sensitive.
The business is profitable as its strategically placed. Also, the fact that we now live in a growing country, there is more and more demand for internet services.
In a month, on the lower scale I have a profit of Ksh. 15000 but on a good business month I can make as much as 20,000 to 30,000.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to purchase a scanner that will cost me Ksh. 3500. The scanner I had got destroyed by power surge last week and now my business has been affected.
The remaining Ksh. 4000, I will use to purchase an uninterrupted power supply for the main computer. I know prevention is better than cure and I wouldn't like the same thing that happened to the scanner to happen to the main server/computer. Also, it will enable me not to lose cash from the internet services when there is power failure.
Please accept my proposal.
Thank you

    Dear Lenders,
Madam Mwihaki will clear her loan in 3 months time with effect from this month. She will commence repayment and in not more than three months she should have cleared her loan fully. I will keep you updated on the progress.
    Best,
    Paul

    Dear Stella,
I'm sorry to hear of the fire and your loss. Even if your concrete building was spared, a cyber cafe can't run without power. Please keep us informed as repairs are made and your business opens up again.
If you will need more time to repay your loan be sure to reschedule your loan and contact the Zidisha staff to let them know. You want to keep your Zidisha record current for the future.

Best of luck on the cleanup and repairs.
    Marvin

    Dear Lenders,
I am sorry I have been quite silent. A fierce fire broke down in Kahawa Wendani just days ago and shops got to be burnt totally. My shop which was next got affected as power lines were destroyed and luckily mine was made of concrete unlike the wooden ones which were brought down completely.
I have now been in a difficult situation due to repairs and the fact that business was at a stand still.
Please understand my situation. I will even post pictures to show you how massive the damage was
