My name are Nancy Wangui. I am married with a family of three children. My first born was finished O-level, my second born still is secondary and my last is in primary school. I live in JohnSagha opposite, Durumo Secondary School. My educational background, I was able to finish my O-level and then went through college where I trained in early childhood education and successfully completed after two years. After completion I tried to secure a job which I was was not able to as a teacher in kindergarten, but lucky I was able to get a job with a non-governmental organization in children's home. My work and responsibilities in the home was a caregiver to the children. Due to the health problems I decided to change from my employment to self employment and we joined effort with my husband to open a business of sell and repair electrical power tools.
Our business is of sell and repair of all electrical power tools. These are grinders, grills, welding machines, motors, and brushes. My husband, Mr. Crispus Nderi, does the repair and two other laborers at the business premises. The first loan we took with KWFT and some savings we had, we joined efforts to start the business. We bought the stock and at least able to rent a place at light industries at Kariobangi behind Equity Bank. Customers prefer our business because there quality services, the goods are standard, and our prices are affordable. Our business is profitable. We manage to get our tools and materials at industrial area which when we sell it gives us good return. The risk we faces when doing the repairs there likelihood of cuts, burns, and also insecurity. Our monthly cost is 70,000 Ksh and profit revenue is 40,000 Ksh.
i will use the money in buying 3 a matures for repairing drills and grinders at a cost of ksh15,000,by two second hand motors at a cost of twenty thousand,buy one bar of brush at two thousand five hunderd shillings,and also a pack of rewinding wire at a cost of five thousand shillings.the loan will help greatly in improving our business hence take it to the next level and the family at large.
