I am Mr. Cheruiyot aged 24 years old and holder of diploma in business management and currently pursuing a degree in Commerce. In addition I have experience in accounting since i worked as an accountant in an audit firm. The urge to be self-employed and the need to ensure others acquire knowledge easily have led me to come up with the business ideas.

I have Management and leadership skills along with in-depth Technical Knowledge in computer system. I believe that my qualifications are an ideal match for a position in business and management in any organization and I’m confident I would make valuable and immediate contribution to any operations that entails running everyday activities in my business ventures.

I also have market knowledge and skills in the retail industry at large. after my diploma, i helped my parents in running family business and with success, the family business was able to grow and enable all my siblings to access good education.

In addition I offer outstanding organizational skills which have proven to be critical asset in developing, maintaining and supporting dynamic information technology and innovations.

My Business

Jactons Investment is a business venture which deals with provision of computer products and services such as photocopying, printing, scanning and typesetting. The idea targets University, College students and residents around Nairobi West who cannot access these products and services at cheaper prices. Recently it has also expanded its idea to incorporate selling of ice cream, repair of electronics and sale of electronics and electronics spare parts. The profit from the business is ploughed back into the business to ensure its expansion and continuous operation without capital difficulties

Business Location And Address

The proposed business is located in Nairobi County, Wilson airport, along Langata. The business has been operational for some time now and is scheduled to expand its operations this season when most institutions are open and the demand for stationery and electronic services is expected to be high. The location is well fed with tarmac road, constant electricity and the security is tight in the area as the main police station is a few meters away from the site. The location is also strategic for the business idea.

Jacton Investments is concerned with solely offering quality stationery and electronic products and services to the customers with personalized services to ensure the business meets customers’ needs and desire for satisfaction which will attract more customers and retain the current ones. Jacton investments is in its early stages but with effective promotion and advertisements it’s believed that it will expand tremendously after one to two years. Our main target customers are university, college and primary students, institutions and all the businesses in town and the surrounding areas

Competition

The main competitors of Jacton investments are bookshops in town and other emerging smaller shops around who also offer stationery and electronics products and services as well. Each of these competitors poses a threat to Jacton investments because they are strategically located on the main routes in the town and have been operating for a long time now.

However, because Jacton investments is customer oriented, that offers services promptly plus the high quality services and affordable products, which the competitors don’t have, we hope to get an upper hand by planning to market our services aggressively. We hope to lead the pack in the next 7 months upon embarking on expansion of our operations

With this loan, Jacton investments is going to increase its stock and stabilize its operation so as to achieve its goals.

Loan Proposal

i will use this loan to add stock to my tuck shop. From the increased stock, i will be able to service the loan and save alot to improve my livelihood and business. Zidisha loan will be able to increase my market base since i currently supply commodities to firms and offices around Wilson airport. My shop is at a strategic location and more stock means good returns for me and my family. With time i will also start money transfer service (m-pesa) in my shop. I will also buy airtime for sale since there are so many customers visiting my shop asking for it. Electricity pre-paid tokens are also in my priority list. This commodities will help my business grow and enable customers acquire most of the services and stuff they need. This loan will change my business for better.
