About Me

I am a 21 years old single lady.A daughter o lovely father Kareithi and a lovely mother Jane.I am a second-born in a family of four and a first born girl child in the family.
I sat my secondary school examination in the year 2010 and later on joined business world. This is due to financial challenges as i was just raised from a humble background. This never nullified my ambition to further my education, sounding as the main reason as to why i started or engaged in business.I started my business at a low knowledge but right now i can see some great progress in it, which gives me confidence of operating even a bigger business and cope with all challenges that arise in it.

My Business

I started a small business back in year 2011, where dealt with green grocer commodities. As time went by,i decided to incorporate some cereals together with some foodstuffs as the business progressed.Later on i shifted from the business to investing in milk bar, offering fresh milk together with fermented milk and some other foodstuffs too. This has uplifted me and made some more significant progress which i admire today. This business has enabled me to get some loan before and managed to repay
it fully without difficulties.I am committed to my promises and by this i give an assurance of well relating with you.

Loan Proposal

I wish to increase stock in my milk bar business because i have won three tenders to supply three different schools with milk and is the reason as to why i decided to repay my loan even before the time. This is after suggestion and consideration by parents and the school fraternity that my milk can be categorized as the overall and i could have more experience in handling milk due to many functions i supply the with milk.
I am glad to inform you that i have achieved a lot from the previous loan you funded.I was able to increase my daily milk capacity from 50L to 90L according to the demand.I was also able to study in computer courses and this made me have extra experience in dealing in computer and i am now able to do on my own.
Your contribution will enable me have access to one of the companies to supply me with milk, in order to cater for the normal and additional demands.I am currently needed to deliver 138L daily and i want also to refurbish my enterprise in order to look more appealing and meet the qualified standard. This will cost me KES24000 in total.
I will appreciate a lot to see your support and i promise to keep my word as i have demonstrated previously.Thank you as you contribute and God bless you.

    Dear Lenders,

Please allow me to relay Mr. Ogumbo's response to a request on following up with Ms. Wangu:

Corsmas Ogumbo, March 13: "I managed to speak to Lucy over the phone but she told me that her business collapsed and is yet to revive it and according to her,she was willing to pay back the loan as soon as her business picks up but promises to talk to me in the course of next week to see if she can pay at least something before the end of this month.I adviced her to fill the loan reschedule form which she promised to do so."

    Thank you!
    Day Thakkar, Zidisha Team

I have decided to reschedule my loan repayments because of some little losses appeared in my business. This was caused by heavy rain that is experienced in many parts if the country.
It happened that my X-mas cards for sale were rained over and this means they could not be sold. This has cost me a lot but i hope it will affect me for a short period.

    Hallo again, Lucy,

I am delighted to see that you have done well with your milk business, and am grateful that you have repaid the loan in full. This makes me happy to support you again. The only question I have is why you preferred to pay off the loan so early rather than to use the money you earned to invest in the Christmas business? I would have been very happy for you to do this - and it would have been cheaper for you because you would not have had the extra transaction cost of the new loan. In my experience business is about learning new things all the time and putting experience to good use in order to be more effective and I hope that as you gain more experience you will do better and better! Thanks again for your hard work.
    All best wishes

    Hi dear lenders,
I am glad to say hi this morning and inform you that i have been nice all a long.Thank you for your support which have uplifted me and transformed many lives of people whom you've served.
I have been able to achieve some of my goals in life and also met some of the targets i had set.I was able to supply milk in some schools and they were happy with my work.
I feel it is worth to pay the loan since i have been payed by the said schools as they are approaching to close the last term of the year.I therefore wish to engage in other business over this period;Christmas season,as i prepare for the January next year to supply more schools with milk as i expect more tenders.

    Hi zidisha members,
I wish to extend my sincere thanks to each and everyone of you for your support which am proud of to date.I am proud to inform you that i was able to study computer courses through this initiative.Previously i could not handle the task well even at the time of applying, as i had very little skills in it which cost me a lot every time i visited a cybercafe to deal with my application.I am lucky that now i can do it within no time.
I also wish to inform you that my business is currently doing well though there had been some challenges before, such as scarcity of milk and others. But am now progressing well and having more customers.
I am looking forward to asking your more support soon. This is because am planing to expand it to supplying schools with milk due to demand as some ;about three of them have requested my service.
Nice time as you carry on and God's blessing.
