About Me

My names are Leah Mweru, a resident of Kiptangwanyi shopping center. I was born in central province of Kenya, Nyandarua District. This is where I attended my primary school and later joined a local secondary school at the area. After my secondary school, I did a secretarial course for six months and got a job to work at a public primary school in Nakuru. I later moved with my family of three children and husband Kiptangwanyi in the year 1999. I live in plot number 1104. My business in Kiptangwanyi is that of selling foodstuffs from my farm to businessmen and women from the center. I have grown all sorts of foodstuffs in my farm.

My Business

My business entails selling of foodstuffs from my farm to businessmen and women around this region. I grow short season crop all year round through irrigation and thereafter supply to other businesses. I have a large dam where I get water to irrigate the crops. The main foodstuffs that I grow are vegetables, beans, peas, soya beans. These is a profitable business as I supply these foodstuffs all year round. I have many customers from many areas who come to collect these products from my farm. Most of them are from around while I also have few who come from other places.

Loan Proposal

I wish to use this loan that I will be given by Zidisha to improve my business by, Firstly, I will increase the acreage of my foodstuffs that I grow. This means I will be able to produce more for my customers. Secondly, I would like to be gowing the best quality and this means more labour will be required in my farm.

    Dear All lenders,
I wish to take this opportunity to reschedule my loan repayment for two months. My business has not been doing well of late and thus resulting in a decline of the income and revenues that I get from the business. This has been attributed by the opening of schools which has reduced the purchasing power of most of my customers. These two months will be very grateful and I hope to do more in order to go back to the normal repayment of my loan.
