Iam david njuguna kimathi. I stay in bahati centre in nakuru north district. Iam married with five children. i have four girls and one boy. The first born is in standard eight while the last is in pre-school.
I have a shop at Bahati centre. I am a general merchant. The profit per item is small but since i sell a variety of things then i make some good profit at the end of the month. I also keep sheep which i sell once in a while when they produce the young ones. I also do farming in my shamba. The produce is used for the family upkeep and the surplus is sold for commercial use. The farm produces maize, beans , cabbages, carrots, spinach, kales, potatoes and others. All these take about 3 months to mature except maize and that enables me to harvest 2 to 3 seasons. This increases my produce and enables me to sell more. Poultry farming is the other farming that i undertake. This provides my family with eggs and meat and also some money from the sale of the same in the market.
I would like to use the amount to buy maize during this season because it is harvesting time and the maize is cheap then after that I will sell to the people who come from different places to buy maize at higher price. so I believe I will make some profit from this business. Thanks to zidisha team for the first loans it helped to improve my business and I believe even the second loan will boost me alot.
