About Me

I am married with two children living in kiptangwanyi shopping center plot number 209. Kiptangwanyi is a busy shopping center that is about 45 kilometers from Nakuru town. When you reach Nakuru, just take a vehicle that plies through elementaita-jogoo-kitangwanyi-munanda. The vehicles are many and therefore to arrive at Kiptangwanyi is not a very difficult. Kiptangwanyi is a semi arid area although I the past few years the place has astonished many and is very highly productive at the moment and it has made the business to be quite good. My two kids are small and do not go to school. Thus most of the time they are with my wife at home. I am the therefore the person responsible for meeting my families need at home. With the assistance of my wife we are able to make sure that we feed the kids and also provide the basic necessities for the family. I operate a bodaboda at the shopping center, a business that I started a few years back and has been sustaining me all along. I have great hopes that I will be able to improve the standard of living of my family though this loan that I intend to borrow from Zidisha organization.

My Business

I started this business of operating a bodaboda in the year 2007. During this time I was not married. It was very challenging as people were not used to these motorcycles. The biggest challenge was to convince a person to use a motorcycle even to travel for a short distance and then you charge him/her. People thought that the motorcycles were meant to carry them for free as if you were giving them a ride or a lift as they call it here. Slowly by slowly as more motocycles came along they started embracing them and the revenues I was getting from the business was good. It is at this time I settled down, got married and started living marriage life. With this motorcycle I am able to meet most of my needs and that of the family without difficulty. The main challenges that this business is encountering are lack of enough finance to expand the business, fluctuating prices of fuel countrywide and high prices of spare parts. I am hoping that things will change for the better and that I will be able to improve the status of my business and get enough to educate my children.

Loan Proposal

I would like to use this loan that I will get freom Zidisha organization to do the following, First, I would like to add the loan to some savings and buy a new motorcycle. This will be very efficient and will improve the status of my business. Secondly, I would like to use the remaining amount to service the current motorcycle.

    Dear lenders,
I'm Analin Saturria McGregor and I'm a Country Liaison Manager at Zidisha.
We received a message from Abraham over the weekend where he let us know that at the moment he is not working. I asked about the state of his boda boda business and how are he and his family getting by at the moment with no income. We will continue to update you on his situation as we find out more, however we wanted to let you know that despite the pause on his payments, Abraham has reached out to us and we will work with his to the best of our ability to find a solution.
Thank you for your continued support!

    Dear lenders,
I wish to reschedule my loan repayment as i ran into some difficulties which made me unable to make my monthly repayments. The situation for my business has not been very good for me and this has made me to be late in my repayments. I am hoping that this additional time will help me be able to resume my repayments as soon as possible. the situation is promising and therefore i am positive that things will improve.

I'm not sure what you are doing in the photo. From your pic and writing, you seem like a humorous fellow. Good luck with the bodaboda! :-)
