About Me

Am a teacher by profession, currently I have been employed B.O.G of a local secondary school in our county. I have three siblings who directly depend on me to cater for all their needs like clothing, food, etc. thank God there is free primary education in our country I don’t know how we would have survived, Being a B.O.G teacher especially in local school means that your monthly income is not much and that you have to come up with other means income to be able to cover your monthly expenses. We currently occupy a small family plot which is situated in githima, we have two cows which produce 10 liters each, which we sell to our neighbors at ksh 45 per liter.

My Business

Part of my source of income comes from my monthly salary which is ksh 7000, the two cows which I inherited from parents produce 20 liters daily, which I sell at ksh 50 per liter which comes to around ksh 1000, out of this ksh 1000 I spent 300 of the feeds and water, another 100 to transport the milk to the market. I have employed someone who looks after the cows when am not around, he takes homes ksh 4500 a month. I spend close to ksh 3000 on medicine plus the vet fee. I have also planted kales on section of our plot which adds nearly ksh 180 to our daily income

Loan Proposal

i would use part of the money to buy a bicycle which cost ksh 4000, this bicycle will cut down the cost of production by 30%, which is normally incurred when transporting feeds from the shops to my home and when transporting milk to the market. the bicycle will also ensure that y produce reach the market in time. the rest of the money i will use to buy fertilizer which i will apply on my kales , while the remaining money i will use to stock the cattle feeds.
