About Me

My name is Jamila Kiambi , I am a graduate in business management. I live in karatina but do business across Kenya. My core business is buying farm produce ranging from poultry meat, eggs and horticulture produce and sell to the local Kenya market at whole sale price to retailers. I would therefore want to boost my buying ability with the help of zidisha loans for a long term relationship. This will help me buy more products from the local farmers and encourage them to grow even more.

My Business

My business is to buy farm products from farmers and take them to the market where I sell at wholesale prices to retailers. Currently my buying power is limited by finances yet the number of farmers and the farm produce have increase but cannot reach the market. I use the public transport which is quite challenging as sometimes I am unable to get to the market on time or even carry all my produce which also affects the supply. With zidisha loans , I am planning to work with the lenders until I am able to buy a van that could solve my transportation issues. Currently I also collaborate with others and hire together transport for particular goods. This week we are buying eggs for transportation to coastal area and I will only afford to buy 230 treys but if I had enough money I would buy 500 treys because we are hiring a big vehicle. The returns , is that I buy from farmers at a price of ksh 260 per trey and sell at ksh 380 per tray or ksh 350. We do this two times per week. I also have other products to buy and take to the market but am overwhelmed by the transportation and lack of adequate finances which I believe the zidisha lenders could help me solve.

Loan Proposal

The loan will add on top of my 250 trays another 15 trays of eggs for supply to the local market from the farmer. This means that i will be able to earn another ksh 1500 gross profit three times per week. I would also consider it for the horticulture produce where my buying ability will also increase enabling me to supply more and earn more.My main objective is to grow more and buy a van or a pickup to help me in transportation.I will be so glad to working with the zidisha lenders as they make my dreams come true.
