About Me

I am Freda, i live with my mother in takoradi, market circle, Ghana. she is disabled in one leg. My father has passed away some years ago. I have been educated to senior high school level in takoradi. I am an only child and i do everything i can to help my mother. I worked as a waitress for sometime but have now started a mother care shop in our porch at home. I live close to the central market in takoradi and also close to the clinic so i can sell baby products to nursing mothers who pass by to the clinic. My main aim is to take care of my mother and get her the best medication i can afford. Also i plan to go back to school after i have saved enough money and study nursing.

My Business

Mother care shops are booming now a days in Ghana, because a lot of young families coming up. And all these new couples are having babies or planning to. I go to the wholesalers and buy infant food, diapers, bibs, cribs, feeding bottles, walkers, toys and baby clothing. Since i started this business i am able to stock up like gh1000 a month and i am able to get like gh1600 back. But there is always deficit in my sales because i have always a shortage of products so i know that if i am able to increase my stock i will meet my demand. And get more money to expand. I the demand available, i can tap into it and get a lot more customers and money too. I will in future rent a shop in takoradi market circle which is the hub of business in town and reach more people rather than from my porch.

Loan Proposal

I am applying for this loan to buy more products for my shop. Like baby food, diapers, feeding bottles and bowls, bibs, cribs and clothing to double my stock to meet the demand in this area. So that i will capture the market before other people start some and the competition grows. I will then be able to start saving for the future of the business in acquiring a bigger shop in market circle and also take care of my mother. I will be able to pay of this money as soon as possible and do more things. I will like to thank zidisha for the opportunity given me.
