My Business

The reason why i would like to be lent a loan is that i would like to upgrade my business and there after have an edge over my competitors. i have done my own research and found out that many of my competitors have not ventured into the business of shoe shinning and repair. I plan to buy all tools and other inventory such as shoe polishes and the rest to do this job as part of the upgrading. With this loan i will be able to acquire some tools and inventory and have an edge over my competitors. Polishing a pair of shoe costs Kenya Shillings 30 per pair on normal shoe polish, suede and dye costs Kenya shillings 50 per pair. Repairs depend on the type of repair to be done but ranges between Kenya shillings 20 to 500. From this i will make enough money to pay back my loan to Zidisha and here also i will be able to make enough money to help myself and my family. Those customers who come to my business to polish their shoes will have a one stop shop whereby they will be able to have their shoes polished at the same time repaired and this will increase the number of customers visiting my business premise. This therefore will increase my monthly revenue significantly. My typical monthly sale is approximately ksh.15000 less cost associated with business of ksh9000 the gross profit s ksh.6000.After the acquisition of the required tools and inventory I project that the sales will increase.

Loan Proposal

if offered the loan i will use the money to expand my business add new stock and buy some chairs for the business so that the customers can have place to sit. also i will use the money to buy raw materials e.g skin for making ready made shoes for my customers thus increase my profit margin and this will help me to pay the loan without any problem.and also i will also start another shoe shining stall and employ someone to run it.

About Me

Am a Kenyan male citizen aged 43 years born in Nakuru and brought up in the shanty estate of Bondeni where smoking weed and consuming alcohol was the order of the day. This estate is mostly inhabited by low income earners as myself because we get cheap housing that can fit into our income therefore am not strained in paying rent. This area also offers cheap food for me and my family. . Luckily enough I got the privilege of acquiring my primary education at a Lenana primary school. I went through my secondary education in Cheptais Boys High School in Kericho after which I joined The Kenya Industrial Training Institute to pursue a course on Leather work After looking for employment in my town and elsewhere and finding none i took it upon myself to start something that would sustain me and my family and the thought of starting my own business came to my mind. Since then I have worked for several years on self employment where I started my own business as a shoe shiner and a cobbler. I'm an O level and could not find employment so I opened and set up a shoe shining stall where am running my business. The earning i get from the business helps me to pay my rent, food for my family and the rest on other inventory.
