My name is as on the profile, Jerry odhiambo. I'm the first born in a family of seven. I did my primary school at Angeno primary in Homabay County. I later joined Rakwaro Seminary School. I did my O level education in the year nineteen ninety five. My family couldn't afford me further education, I joined my uncle in Nakuru to train as an Electrician. My uncle trained as an Electrician. I have been living in Nakuru for the last fourteen years. My hobbies are swimming and training martial arts karate. I'm a christian beliver. I'm married. I have four children. I also take care of three orphans, one in class one, one in class four with my two twin children. The other one did his form four last year and is waiting for his K.C.S.E results. My elder daughter has joined class eight this year and the other last born is to join baby class by next year. The three orphans, were left after their parents died in two thousand and six and in two thousand and thirteen respectively. With the little I get I managed to assist my wife and trained as a tailor. Though she has no machine for herself, she has been doing piece work and saving to buy one. I make my leaving from a small business which I started after many attempts to be employed failed. I wanted to do anything to make ends meet provided it could earn me something from my sweat. I have come to realize that all people who have succeeded didn't start from nothing but from something and I can make it through your assistance!
It was one day when i saw some waste papers scattered near an bank dustbin. They looked very fine and i started thinking what the waste could do.The strips looked neat and shredded to a pattern .While i stood there a young boy came and collected the wastes, when i asked him what he planned to do with the waste he said they always collect them and sell them at one ksh. per kg then i asked him if he would supply me with the waste papers @ ksh.1.50 and he accepted my offer and even promised to convince his other friend to do the same. This is how dear friend and donors i was able to start my current business. This business is currently doing very well in the outskirts of nakuru town .its location is at the KIE premises here i have been able to make enough money to sustain my family and those who depend on me.The space of the business is small and therefore not enough for my growing business. Therefore am looking for another big space for the business and a prime space for that matter. In this regard i hereby wish to request funding from Zidisha to help me achieve this special goal that i have put in place
I'm planning to acquire a bigger space for my premises. As I have explained to you earlier that the space I have now is small, I need some money to pay for a bigger apace so that I can have a spacious space to store my wastes. I have checked around and a bigger space paid for twelve( 12) months paid in advance will coast me 18,000/= with a deposit of 7,000/=.
