About Me

I am a Kenyan By birth and i am born and brought up in Nakuru county in Rift Valley Province. In Nakuru I live in Whitehouse. I take Whitehouse matatu and alight at whitehouse stage. My home is a walking distance on your way to Eastmore High School. I take the first left turn and walk roughly 100m from the road. I live in plot number 83/1190, house number 10B just next to Morning Star Nursery School. The owner is a famous man called Mr Muritu. Nakuru being the capital of Nakuru County and former capital of the Rift Valley. Nakuru is a very busy place business-wise and having a good climate having about 307,990 inhabitants making it the fourth largest urban centre in Kenya and the largest urban centre in our country. Nakuru attracts a lot of people being at the centre and is a home of famous Lake Nakuru in Kenya widely known for the large numbers of flamingos that can be seen foraging in the shallow lake. i finished my education after undertaking my food production diploma and later employed at Midlands Hotel in Nakuru.

My Business

I started a pudding and fruit juice called Machel pudding which i started entirely on my own at Highway Towers room number 7. I have an experience about juice and pudding operation after starting with a food business. I loved the business since i didn't have to be a nutritionist or obtain a degree related to health to know that fruits and vegetables are good for the body. I sell a variety of juices and pudding from bananas, apples, carrots, oranges, celery, melons, and other fruits and vegetables. I get my fruits and vegetables from the main sokoni food market and distributors. I am planing on future to add vitamins and health supplements like those that are known for their immunity boosting or anti oxidizing effects. I sell juices in several sizes starting at a price of Ksh70 to Ksh100 and a standard price of Ksh100 for a plate of pudding natural fruits.

Loan Proposal

I will be very proud to get my first loan in Zidisha because I am planing to adding other items such as sandwiches in my menu to help boost my profit.
My start up cost depended much on my equipments(juicers and coolers), rent, and getting the necessary license permit. I have managed to recover all the cost after one and a half years. My profit amounts to Ksh900-Ksh1,000 a day after deducting my total sales from the cost of the ingredients and overhead. I am mastering the operation and i believe it will be several times my capital.
