About Me

Christian Golo is my name, born on 1st January, 1974, I am therefore 44 years old. I was brought up in a town called Dambai, a farming and fishing community, where I had my basic education. I am the fourth child among my siblings. My parent Mr Paul Komla Nudevu and Madam Doris Adzo Madjitey were both into farming, fishing and petty trading. I helped my parent so much in farming, fishing and petty trading, so as to raise enough money to be able to pay family bills. It’s my parent desire that I go higher in education because of my interest in academic work and also how I am able to support them in their chosen profession to raise money for family up keep. All children of school going age have to trek for long distances to the Dambai Township to be able to get access to formal education. Many colleagues droped out of school due to the long distance. I excelled in my basic education and gained admission into secondary school. In my final year in secondary school, I lost my father, therefore my education expenses became a burden to my mother alone. God Almighty on our side, my mother managed to foot my bills and I was able to excel in my secondary school certificate exams. During vacations and non-school hours, I still support my mother on the farm, fishing and petty trading to enable her get enough money for family up keep. I then gained admission into Koforidua Polytechnic where I graduated with Higher National Diploma in Marketing. I did my national service with Ghana Education Service, where I taught in a basic school. After the national service, I gained admission into University of Cape Coast and graduated in Bachelor’s degree in Management studies. Even at the university level, I was still managing a fishing canoe that was generating income to s

My Business

upport the family.

My Business
Currently, I have interest in providing quality health service to people in my community, hence my decision to pursue further education in public health science, where I moved from both rural and urban poor communities to educate them about dangers of some bad health practices such as open defecation etc. I also, introduce to them some food supplements that can make a healthy and strong life at affordable fee and also toiletries, sanitary pads & diapers for sales
After my professional training I have decided to establish a one stop shop where people can buy variety of toiletries at affordable prices, as I prepare to go into full time provision of alternative medical services to the members of my community and beyond. This business involves buying varieties of toilet rolls, soaps, diapers. Also buying and selling of water, (both bottle and sachet). I initially started with one sales girl however at the moment, I have four person working with and I am paying each monthly salary. Two staff’s supplies shops in the nearby towns and villages and two are in the shop selling to walk in customers. We also supply pads to schools and educate adolescent girls how to use pads at affordable prices. The rate of demand, with more enough working capital, the business can employ more hands; hence help reducing unemployment in the area and also helping improve sanitation conditions in the communities and also improving people's health

Loan Proposal
Nsakina is a community within the Greater Accra region of the republic of Ghana, about 40 km away from the capital city Accra, with a population of about 1, 900. The community lacks basic social amenities such as good drinking water, toilet facilities (places of convenient), health facilities, good basic schools etc. Unavailability of pipe borne water in this community makes sanitation in the community very poor. Recently, as a monthly health program, I organized a health outreach Programs in this deprived community called Nsakina, at the open forum, the members in the community appeal that they need a mechanized borehole with poly-tank in the community so as the community members can fetches water for use and pay a small fee so as to be able to service the debts of the borehole, for water is life
Below are the costs of the project.
