About Me

My Name is Francis Muchiri Kirubi and a resident of Hyrax hill estate
Nakuru next to Hyrax Primary school. One an access my residence from
nairobi Nakuru highway at the Mediheal Hospital turnoff.Am the
last-born in a family of three with my siblings doing businesses in
Nakuru town.I completed my studies at Zetech College Three years ago
with a diploma i Mass communication, and am yet to get employment.
In the past three years,i have worked in several companies with the
longest being a n assistant supervisor at Kempton investments.
Besides that i have tried my hand in business in Nairobi and Nakuru as
well.In the month of April i started baking Cookies at my residence in
Nakurus' Hyrax Estate, packaging them and supplying them in kiti, maili
sita and the larger Nakuru county. With the demand growing by the
day, expansion is inevitable. With that comes with the need to improve
the quality of the cookies and the packaging too to attract more
customers.

My Business

Mo-Cookies is the name of the company formed
in April 4th 2013 with some
of my savings. After doing my research the in of
business I would start. I
single out the cookie business. After a two
month crash course on bakery
and pastries making I decided to start baking
cookies. I bought a juakali
oven and cookie press machine.
I make my purchases normally
once a week, with a 2 kg pack
of wheat flour produce more than 980 cookies,
which I pack in packets of 25
pieces each. From which I get 38 packets.
Each packet goes for 20 kshs each thus giving
me 760 kshs. I deduct cost of labour and
production which adds up to about 400 kshs and
profit as 360 Kshs.
With a 2 kg packet of wheat floor am able to do
5,2 kg packets of wheat
flour giving me a net profit of 1800 Kshs in a
week and a 7200 ksh in a
month.
With the demand for pastries on the rise, my
goal is to be able to capture
new markets by increasing my out-put as well as
variety to suit different
tastes of people. Eventually by more ovens and employing more staff
thus increasing production.

Loan Proposal

Having got a steady market for my cookies i can now target the larger Kenyan market. With this loan i will improve on the packaging material in turn this will attract a better price thus giving me a better return.the remainder I'm looking into creating more flavors eg.chocolate ,lemon etc to cater for the the varied tastes of my customers.
