About Me

I am Oteng Alpha a native of Senase in the Berekum municipality in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. I am twenty-five years of age. We are family of nine and I am the elderly among the seven children. I am single. I started school at the Senase Methodist Primary and JHS. I completed Methodist Senior High School in the year 2009, I entered Komenda Training College now, Komenda College of Education and completed in 2012. I was posted to Senase Methodist Primary Schools as a teacher and since then I have been working in this school. Football is my favourite game.Aside my teaching profession,I am into animal farming.

My Business

Animal farming is the business I have been operating since 2012. I started with rearing of pigs but now I have included poultry to the business. I started the business in 2012 with only four pigs of which two of them were males and the other two were females. Currently, I have as many as forty pigs. In 2013, I introduced poultry into the business and now I have over three hundred fowls in my poultry farm. I have employed four people who assist me in my farm. They are been paid at the end of every month.
Due to the rapid growth of my business, it has become necessary for me to get another housing to contain the pigs and the fowls because as I speak to you now both the pigs and the fowls are over-crowded in their pen.
I therefore need a loan of $3000 to help me purchase roofing sheet, cement, poultry feeds, a borehole at the site where I rear these animals.
Significance of my business
About 62% of the people living in the Senase Community buy fowls and pigs from my farm. It is also serving as source of employment to the people living the community and I am hoping that next year I will be able to employ at least another four people to work in my business.

Repayment of loan
Should I be given this loan, I will be able to repay from the proceeds I get from the sale of my fowls and pigs. Aside from my farming, I teach which I will use to supplement the payment.

Loan Proposal

I am looking forward to improving my structure this time. My birds are overcrowded in a small structure which does not help in the health and hygienic production of poultry products. I will therefore buy building materials such as cement and roofing sheets to augment the building of a spacious structure. Aside from the structure, about 40% of this loan will go into buying poultry feeds as the birds need to be fed regularly especially this time as the layers are laying. This will bring significant improvement to my farm and I look for to seeing my ever backbone zidisha to help me this time as well.

Thank you lenders.Am able to buy 10 bags of poultry feeds for my poultry farm. This will go a long way to help me improve upon my farm since prices of poultry feeds is relatively low at this period of the year in Ghana.
