About Me

My Names are Jane Wanjku. I am second born daughter in a family of 2. I went to Mai-i-ihii Primary school in Kiambu county. Thereafter i joined Moi Girls Kamangu in Kiambu county.
I joined Moi bridge Eldoret college where i persued Diploma in food production. I joined several local food production industries where i gained experience in food production relevant to my course.
However, i later joined Nairobi tannery as a secretary and later sales lady. I worked for 2 years before i Co founded soft leather with another partner.
Soft leather deals with manufacture of quality leather.

My Business

My business's name is soft leather products where we deal with manufacturer of quality leather. My main source of raw materials is local slaughter houses.
Our company operates form Saika Omega. Our sales account to major sources of funding for the production process.
The business is profitable because there are few of such who manufacture leather. However small scale we are, we are looking forward to expanding it in future subject to availability of funding.
The potential for growth in Kenya’s leather industry is considerable. The government estimates that value addition could more than double the current earnings to ksh 9 billion. The country has in recent years produced over two million hides (mainly cattle, with some camel) and around four million skins (goats and sheep).

Loan Proposal

I will use my loan to buy more raw materials for my shoe making business. I am currently faced with shortage when in the real sense, demand for locally made shoes is high especially school based and office wear shoes.
My budget will be used as:
1. 1 bundle - 1,500KES
2. Soles - 2,000KES
3. Threads - 1,000KES
If i get the loan, the above will be fulfilled and I will be able to refund my loan as indicated above.
