About Me

my names are Beatrice Ayieta, am a fist born in a family of five children, I was born in Nairobi Kibera slums in the year 1980. i attended primary school and secondary school in the same area. i did my form four in the year 1999. Due to financial constrains from my family i did not proceed to secondary level so i opted to look for a job. i was employed as a house help in Ongara rongai for five years from 2000 to 204 when i got married in the same neighbourhood. I started a business of selling Vegetables to the neighbourhood since i saw many walk for many kilometres searching for them. since Rongai area is not that populated.

My Business

I deal with selling vegetables in ongata rongai market. i started the business with the help of my husband who gave me the capital start. i normally sell vegetables ie. sukuma wiki, cabbages and fruits. i buy the vegetables in kangemi market since its near and the goods are cheap. the challenges that i face is rotting of the vegetables after two days if not bought, and transportation from the market to my stall which i use mkokoteni and they charge a high fee.if i get the loan i will expand my business to accommodate more varieties of fruits and vegetables that i do not stock to increase my profit.

Loan Proposal

Thank you Zidisha team for giving me an opportunity post a loan, i would like to say if i get the loan i will purchase additional stock for my stall. i will also introduce new varieties of vegetables to the market. this will increase the amount of sales in a day thus making higher profit. i will also use the 50 dollars to increase the stall size since am operating in a table which cannot accomodate the increased stock.
