My name is Edward Kipyegon aged 36 and a resident of Kapsoit village in Kericho county. I am married and blessed with three children.
Due to financial challenges, I could not study beyond form four but I am currently a business man and a farmer as well.
I spend my free time watching soccer and visiting friends and family.
I own and ran a shop in Kericho town where I sell home appliances especially utensils.
I started about four years ago and has been doing well. I make a net profit between 10- 20% on most items and my customers are mainly the urban dwellers.
I have plans to improve my stock which I need the support of Zidisha.
My shop is located in a busy street ensuring a constant demand. However, my business is often limited by inadequate stock. I would therefore use the loan to build on this stock especially the utensils such as plates, bowls and cups that are fast moving. All the $100 loan and subsequent profits will thus go to building the stock. Improved stock will enable me derive the full potential of the shop.
My current sales will enable me repay the loan on time.
Thank you all.
